Good stuff, I did not know about that design options thing triggering the rentable vs gross. One note or anyone seeing this in 2024+, Revit 2024 changed it so that the checkbox "apply area rules" remembers your last choice, it does not always default to yes/on

Only a little comment you can't schedule regions but you can create a region family and that can be scheduled. only problem they are always square. I do elevation areas and I can schedule them by the material
