Hola buenas tardes, nunca tuve un filo con ese HRC, en España en los años 70y 80, las empresas usaban el 440c después se pasaron al mova dependiendo de el tratamiento térmico de cada una tenía distintos resultados pudo hablar de los cuchillos de remate de muela a mi me daba buenos resultados y para trabajos generales las navajas de caza de esta empresa hacían bien su función con el tratamiento térmico las subían a58hrc un mismo acero varía de el templado que le de cada uno,te pongo en situación tengo acero D2 con rendimiento distinto en la misma factoría dependiendo de la colada da distintos resultados de una pieza a otra,comento esto por si puede valer para llegar a un punto en común de este tema de los aceros creo que el templado y el revenido es la clave de el comportamiento de un acero. por supuesto que lo es... pero no te pueden pedir lo mismo por un Blohler que por un 420 (MoVa) asi sea templado con Nitrogeno, todo es Marketing y las empresas mientras mas margen de ganancias tengan mejor! ...se entiende? y en el minuto 05:30 digo que el 440C era premium en los 80' y de el deribaron muchos como el Blohler N695 y los CPM
El grosor de la hoja, y geometría del filo hace que aguante...el tema es, si el acero es blando hoja gruesa....acero más delgado tiene que ser de buena dureza...
Right so one aspect is its ability to spring back, so if the steel bends under lateral movement it can spring back where stainless 420 won’t and will show its lights in glinting. However, the other side of the coin is edge retention and if you test that on some cardboard or something you will find it dulls super fast. This would make the asking price of $37us, too much for me.
I think the cardboard cut test only makes the edge or the bouncing dirty (do you think it really wears it down?) I don't really believe in that test, I think yours is better (when I move I'll try to get that 6mm rope, are you sure? ...it seems thicker)
@ I measured it and it seems like it. I’m not sure if there is a difference between nylon and the poly rope but I’ve gone for poly. I found it around the home and thought it could work well. It would be interesting to see how the rope test matches up with the wood test you did on the Cimo knife. Use your Ganzo 440c as your benchmark or control. The cardboard does give the results I would expect though when you compare the Ganzo cardboard cuts which is about 500 feet. Apples to apples though, you have to make sure you have exactly the same type of cardboard every time.

Wood? ...then try it on wood (that's my reasoning)... let me think of a test that works for everything with wood... The rope is also fine, but it is a different parameter and until I have the same one we will not be able to compare results.
When you test your rope against 440c and the knives I send you, you will know and it will be extremely helpful for people using your channel to buy knives. If a cimo passes the wood test but only gets 15 cuts, what does this mean for the user? Does it bend if it is used for batoning say in camp use? No one has a well rounded consistent routine to test these things, there is always an element or more missing.
Pues claro que me atrevo, está a unos 20 grados.😅😅😅. Bueno el cuchillo pasó las pruebas sin problemas,aunque las hojas pavonadas no son de mi agrado. Espero que se solucione lo de Cudeman. Yo tengo el Sanabria 2 el pequeño y es un muy buen cuchillo. Si puedes dale un vistazo al Cudeman César Bozal.

Bonito cuchillo.

no viste el video? ...la dureza es apenas de 46-48 HRC y la hoja es de vaciado concavo ultra fino... que viste tu?
