Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida addressed US lawmakers on Thursday. The head of the Japanese Cabinet vowed that Japan is a “loyal ally and steadfast friend” of Washington. The prime minister also said that Russia allegedly “continues to threaten to use nuclear weapons.” This, he said, “has had an impact on concerns around the world.

Japanese govenment didn't want to admit their complete defeat against UN back in 1945 and it was clear the citizens' lives are threatened and lost MONTHS before the war ended.
Sadly, suiside attacks of small planes by young soldiers were repeated only in vain bc there was no way for Japanese military to change the situation. They were expected to die and it was hard to refuse.
There were countless Japanege kids who were frightened by the airbombing then, my father was actually one of them. Many lost their famiy.
