This dev should not have been so secretive with development. I feel like a lot of the issues people have with things like stages and audio could have been addressed if this wasnt the first unbroken gameplay trailer ive seen and ive been following this game for years. It's not horrible but when i pick this up is really going to depend on the price at this point. Clearly not as premium as the first trailers made you think.

Still needs time cooking, audio is very strange, specially the character voices, everything feels very uncanny. Also the BG characters just seem to be thrown in there, and being bigger than the fighters makes it distracting to read the character movement. Ryohei for some reason has 50 million frames when getting up, and the pushback from blocking is a little too big. I hope a lot of stuff is placeholder, because without an updated demo or something, unfortunately this video turned me from very hyped for years into very hesitant. Good luck to the team and don't be afraid to delay a release if it means releasing a better product
@@KatabelleVA Wouldn't put the blame on the acting itself, but it sounds like every piece of audio in the game is going thru a muffled filter, sounds more like bad EQ for the sake of sounding like an old game. It becomes way more noticeable with the ground spike attack where she spams it constantly so the players are bombarded with the same voice line very fast with this muffled quality. I noticed that Ryoher's VA sounds a bit more natural too, less pronunciation on syllable by syllable, however, I'm Portuguese, so I'm unfamiliar with Nagi's language, and in that regard I can't comment because I don't know if it is just supposed to sound like that, if it is, then it is how it should be. My biggest gripe is with the sound quality , if you are the VA, the quality doesn't seem to be your fault either since from the reels on your channel, everything sounds great.
@@KatabelleVA I’m just seeing this but I find the VA for the announcer off putting… it sounds too pastiche, too comical, too high pitched and his voice doesn’t have a lot of presence. I guess the best way i can explain it is it sounds like a semi-ironic, unserious throwback to Japanese fighting games, rather than just making something new and cool or at least taking it seriously enough for us as an audience to get invested in. I don’t think the VA is the right fit or that this is the right style a game like this needs :/
I’m getting a clayfighter feeling from the fighting, I’m sure some reworking on the timing and chunky hit animations can fix that, and those sound effects could use a tune up. Overall I’m hoping we get more updates b4 launch
You're right! It is twice as long as normal, not only when the screen is black and even the timer counts down during this. Makes you wonder if we'd get timer scamming with the freeze specifically if unchanged.
We're interested in this project. But some things need to be reworked before launch... It's like good overall but with some missing impact on all the aspects (attacks, défenses, sounds and backgrounds especially...) You're almost done, but with some mandatory refinements. We won't let you down !
The character sprites and moves look great. Unfortunately, the background looks rough. Y’all need to work on this stage a lot. Some of the characters are way too big.
I'm getting the same vibe from this like I do with Yatagarasu: Enter the Eastward......which isn't good. This will probably be a pass for me unless it's dirt cheap. I can't see this being anywhere near $20.
Have been looking forward to this game coming out for a while. I think I pre-ordered the physical limited edition for Switch Like 2 years ago. I am excited it will be out in a few short months.
Looks and sounds great! Ryohei is much more mobile than i thought when i saw him in the early trailers. Nagi seems weak if you know her ranges. I'm dying to get my hands on this.
Ryohei's air projectile looks like a war crime and I'm here for it. What if Akuma's air fireballs turned horizontal when near to the ground and gave you plus frames when you chase them?
I know you've heard this a million times, but this prerelease has been disastrous. How good is the matchmaking? What options do I have for finding people to play? Is the crusty audio on purpose? What's the point of a nostalgic throwback when those very influences are already available for online play?
This game comes in the fall. I really hope they can fix all these issues before then. Sprites are beyond bland and the fighting still looks pretty slow. Bland character animations with reactions that looks weird like when man low hit the woman and she went flying in the air during the ko. Also I think the man should have went flying when the woman did that super.
@@mechadekaIf this is the quality of the game they min us well release it for free. You can find better quality in online gaming sites. This is quite a disappointment or perhaps I was hoping too much. I think they may have been too ambitious. The size of their roster is big for the first release of a new Fighting game. They should have started very small like Skullgirls and added characters in updates. That way so they could focus on important fundamental things like visuals, character animations, and fighting mechanics.
A few touches may be practical pre-release like changing the final knockback from that beam super to be a launch rather than chip KO fall or improving the UI so it is easier to tell when meter is being spent (this game basically has Drive Meter though it was announced a very long time ago)... You may be in better hands with Yatagarasu if you want something that's more readable with a SNK or 3rd Strike influence. Just mind that Yatagarasu has a production history which is similarly controversial and no rollback.
Why does the music audio sound like this ? It sounds different and not in a good way from when we first heard it .....and slso why are the background character NPCs bigger than the playable characters ? 👀🙄
Needs some refinement on backgrounds, music and some characters skills impact but at least the handicap looks good compared to the handicap lame from KOFs 94 and 95
imo this game should be postponed. Some polish could make the difference between being a long lasting franchise versus being a Discord fighter. The idea is great, but the execution needs some work.
I was excited for this game at first. But, seeing it even in later footage, this looks...bad. Very bad. The sound design is extremely weak, the music is beyond boring, the hits have no impact, and the game just looks completely lifeless. Very disappointed
All of you are wrong the gameplay is just boring and the mechanics seem incredibly basic and overall not fun, I hope they spice it up cuz this is literally all neutral, not a single rush down sequence and the zoning is incredibly boring from the looks of it, I don’t think I’ve even seen a example of special /normal cancels into super , I only play mvc2 and hate all other games but they are still fun to watch atleast , sf6 is atleast entertaining to watch even if you aren’t a fan of the game, and as much as i dont like tekken those matches are a spectacle and always hype , and if this is the devs playing im definitely worried cuz they should have a little more skill and finesse with the game that made from scratch but this is all mundane
Hahahahahaha now everyone has a Ph.D on fighting game dev… go make your own games people. This dev has done a great job , they just need to tune it a bit ❤
Even if we never saw a GDC talk, FGC video or Sakurai speaking on games, some things are just observable by eye or ear. This game isn't marketed towards people who are just getting into fighters in 1991. It is targeting Garou and 3rd Strike while those games and numerous others in collections have never been more available. I agree he did a fantastic job but the bar from his peers is quite high so the scope or focus should have been dialed in.
Background characters should not be bigger than the fighters who are closer to the camera. Street Fighter Alpha 1 Charlie stage needs to be studied.
Alpha 2
@@LocalJanitor6 We're both wrong. It's Charlie's Alpha 1 stage, not Ken's

Also, there's a reason companies like Capcom use monochrome afterimages.
Does it comes with a CRT filter? I hope so because it looks odd

The pauses for supers feel like they disrupt the flow of the fight.
I'm glad someone else thinks that too. That pause is so disrupting.

I like the vibe of this game. Reminds me of those old computer games I used to play during the 2000s.

This still looks too rough. You guys better fix this before it becomes yet another indie fighter no one plays or cares about.
A doujin game like Akatsuki blitzkampf looks a lot better and from what I can tell plays way better

Why is there a meter where the player's names would be for tournaments?
It looks like it was made with the MUGEN Engine. I can't get jiggy with this, sorry.
The last blade?!
25 years into the future and they still can't make a 2d fighting game that accurately competes with 3rd Strike or KOF....Amazing but sad!

Когда давно появились первые трейлеры этой игры, еë сравнивали с SF3, но сейчас игра не выглядит, как SF3.
Movements aren't smooth, motion blur is excessive. Game hurts my eyes.
What’s with the guy in the white shirt on the right side of the background? He’s so profoundly distracting
I don’t like the screen shaking ,
