I have read 3: Cassandra, Apple & Eve. Have the Benjamin Myers on my shelf. A couple other are available at my library. Thanks for sharing these hidden 💎 💎 💎.
The Language of Birds sounds so good! I didn't think I'd end up adding too many of these books to my TBR because I'm trying to limit adding to my "library-doesn't-have" shelf (Christmas killed my spending budget this year lol) but I couldn't resist adding it. I love the concept of centering the victims of a crime as a way to show that they were always more than victims -academiabby
I read Eve out of her Ruins based on your recommendation earlier this year and I loved it, so powerful! I’m definitely interested in reading Apple and Knife and The Anthill now ! 🥰
Evie in Her Ruins has sat on my shelves unread for years. I bought it for #womenintranslation but never got around to actually reading it! Can I recommend some underhyped books? Standard Deviation ( especially on audio as it’s very funny) Shelter ( the opening is unforgettable) Seating Arrangements by Maggie Shipstead Valentine ( set in Texas in the late 70s/early 80s) Nothing Buy Blue Sky by Kathleen MacMahon Enter The Aardvark by Jessica Anthony Magalash by Joe Comeau The Spare Room by Helen Garner The series by Ambrose Parry set in Edinburgh in 19th century. Mysteries set around history of medicine. We Begin At The End ( one of the best thrillers I’ve ever read) 🍀👋☘️📚☕️🫖📖👓📕
Hi Grace! These sound incredibly interesting! I have saved them and I plan to purchase a few! Love hearing about books that are overlooked - Great Video!
I cannot find the Ben Myers books anywhere 😭. Not Amazon or Book Depository. It’s been on my tbr for so long. The Anthill Sounds really good. Just borrowed it. This was a great video. Hope you have a fabulous week.
26a by Diana Evans! One of my friends did her dissertation on that book. Still haven’t read it since all these years 🙈 Also Eve Out of Her Ruins, a brilliant book 👌🏾
