- Join us for the Celebration of Life for Mother Willie Mae Smalls Rivers. Mother Rivers was a Woman of God of Great Wisdom & Great Love. She dedicated her life to Serve God and His Church. She will be missed tremendously.
We yet proclaim that "…all the glory, all the honor, all the praises all day, belong to God."
I get it. Sharing your mother, working with your mother, caring for your mother....this is a tough one for the daughters. Mother Rivers was fantastic ❤❤❤

My first time meeting and experiencing the ministry of Mo. Willie Mae Rivers was at the 2001 AIMS Convention in Indianapolis, IN. I was just a teenager attending one of the workshops where she spoke about self-esteem, walking with your head high and not settling for anything. She was so chill and down to earth.

RIH Mother Rivers, Job well done.. She was and is the last true example of the old-time holiness sanctified WOG of this era.. Hopefully there will be someone who will continue her legacy preaching/living true holiness within of the Women's Department of COGIC. COGIC has become so watered down.
God bless Mother and the family. I remember growing up in the COGIC under her leadership. She was a wonder, strong and holy woman of God with a hilarious sense of humor. Much love and respect ❤❤❤

Beautiful for this great lady mother Rivers her time was impeccable. I don't mother rivers still should have been supervisor until she closed her eyes. The could held mother's hands up until that time. Mother coffee never to mother Robinson mother crouch never did it mother mcglothen but they did it mother rivers how sad. But you got a lot to say now. And to add on a jurisdictional level bishop brooks never moved mother Hopkins who was 107 we she closed her eyes mother Johnson was well in her 80s when she took over in Michigan. May mother Willie Mae Rivers rest in eternal paradise and we shall see her those that are saved and right and ready when the Lord shall come however I do have a question why are they up there talking about what Bishop she has done this is to celebrate and commemorate the memory and the legacy of mother Rivers this is not the time to talk about what Bishop shear has done he will have his day where they can commemorate and celebrate his legacy but right now this is to celebrate and thank God for allowing mother rivers to pass this way to touch to lift and to nurture all those that she has come across and her lifetime let us not forget Jesus Christ is the reason for all things so as we celebrate and commemorate the legacy and the life field mission of mother Willie Mae Riverslet us also celebrate our Lord and savior because if it wasn't for Christ coming and giving his life as a ransom where would we be I don't know why Jesus loves me I don't know why he cares or but I'm glad I'm glad he did and we ought to give God all the praise Glory and Honor Church of God in Christ has lost a whole lot of leaders a whole lot of God fearing leaders but we need to keep going on in the strength of the Lord I pray for the COGIC family at large may God strengthen your hearts as you get through this time of bereavement know God heals and answers all prayers when you're lonely heart filled with despair remember God cares for you peace and blessings upon the river's family I do know what it is to lose mama my mother passed away at the age of 51 of cancer and I was only 27 at that time so I do know what it feels like to lose mother but mother is not gone when you lose something you don't know where it is we know where our mothers are and they're in the presence of almighty God to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord God bless you all know that I love you and praying for you

Mother Gladys Lockett Ross, The State Supervisor at My Church in Texas Central Metropolitan Jurisdiction #13, she knows everybody in COGIC in all different States.
