While her dance instructor (Anthony) slowed the song down to appeal to older audiences and wanted her to be more like Beyonce. So basically Anthony wanted to speed up the age of the song, which consequently made the song seem inappropriate for her. If you listen to the upbeat version that her manager gave her it sounds more kid friendly and a fun song.
