Omg than you so much for this video! My daughter and I will be visiting Crystal River next week, and we currently have a snorkel tour booked. But the weather is looking to be unseasonably warm and the tour boat operator let me know the manatees are heading out to the Gulf and the water visibility is murky. So I considered doing a kayak tour instead but wondered what it would be like. This video answers all my questions! Thank you so much Chrissa!

Looks like a really fun way to see the manatees! Never really thought of there being springs to visit so near the coast (I always figured the places to see the manatees there would be by power plants), but definitely somewhere to put in our to go list. 👍
I like pears!! 🤗 It is an incredible way to see manatees! Kings Bay has quite a few springs, 40+ I believe, so it’s one of the best places to see manatees on the west coast. There are several spots along the bay, but Three sisters Spring is probably the most popular spot…as you can see from the video! lol…there were tons of people there! It’s definitely worth doing! Next winter, I think we’ll do the swimming experience!

How are the manatees after the reeally reeally cold temps Florida just had?
Manatees always make me smile too! Of all the manatee locations we visited this winter, we haven’t heard of any major casualties, so I think they may be okay this year. I hope so at least!
