I had a coloplast get infected and removed. I went back with a malleable and it’s been 4 weeks. The implant pushes into the head and is very sensitive to even water falling on it. Is this normal? Have I not waited long ensuing for healing? I am a 36 year very well controlled type 1 diabetic. I value your opinion.
My implant surgery was a disaster. I have not orgasmed since my surgery. I would orgasm about once a week before. My penis is now smaller. It does not reach my wife's cervix. She says she can't feel my penis now. I'm very unhappy with the procedure.
Bessie Howard, I’m not a doctor, but this doesn’t sound right to me… Which type of implant does he have? If he has an inflatable implant he should have erections when he inflates the implant. If he has a malleable implant, the erection will be different than the inflatable, but if he is using it correctly, he should be firm enough for intercourse. Is it possible there’s a problem with his implant? I would suggest going to see his surgeon if he’s experiencing any kind of issues at all.
Fascinating, informative and essential viewing for prospective patients.

Yes, the sensitivity is normal. At six weeks you should have near-weekly evaluations until reimplantation.
@@DrPaulPerito Mr Perito, I'm confused, so does the farther your surgeon dilated to the glans the more sensitivity is possible?
How much pain can we expect for the operation ?
We work to minimize the pain and use local anesthetic to keep the overall recovery time as low as possible.

Unfortunately, I hear this all the time. See a high-volume implanter and in general you'll find some success with the procedure.

Is pump so obvious that your partner will see it?
You sometimes see it and always feel it. The truth is, when patients are getting what they want (restoration of function), they don't care.
