It sounds like he was trying to do the right thing by not laying off workers, but to be successful you do need to makev adjustments as things change. A very sad ending to his life. RIP Mr. Erskine. Thank you for the story, Ron.
I have family in Huntsville, so it's great to see these beautiful old cemeteries again. I remember hearing the stories about Mr. Erskine from my aunt. Thanks for this video, Ron. RIP Mr. Erskine.
Very sad story about an industrious and decent man, even in the depression still cared for his workers, may he R.I.P,Merry Christmas to you and yours Ron stay safe,🎄🙏🙏👋👍🎄
That's such a sad tale. A person can go from having it all to penniless and destitute in no time flat. That's a tragic end for anyone. That desperation could drive a person to such a way out. 😭🙏
I thought the same thing, but maybe some of his still-well heeled friends and business associates kicked in for it. I also imagine that his family had to sell their estate/s, too, but he probably had some funds left- just no more new ones coming in to replace them... sad story.
Hey Ron great story from a great story teller! Sad about Albert E ... That he shot himself! Love all your stories and videos Ron ! Happy Holidays! 🖤👻🌲🧑🎄.. Rip Albert E...🙏
Hi Ron from Indianapolis indiana, I am watching your video right now and I love your videos and channel. I loved your video on pearl Bryan. I heard that they are tearing down Bobby Mackey's music world in wilder Kentucky. You are awesome and amazing storyteller.
Such a sad story. You should check out our cemetery here in Gurley. We have a Captain from the civil war buried here who we are named after. Just an fyi. Safe travels sir.
The measure of a man is not in how much money he makes, but what sort of character he has. Mr Erskine was a total success, if he but knew it, he was a decent and honourable man. That should have been enough.
Just want to ask how you are liking our az 80° day here in the valley of the sun oh ya great times now but never forget summer is coming ha ha ha😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There are few things sadder than suicide. Rest in peace, Mr. Erskine. Excellent job, Ron.

I had a 1964 Studebaker Commander. Small car, large engine. Very fast, called it the Tennessee Stud.
Always good to see you in the middle of the week..

I grew up in South Bend Indiana and played at the golf course named after him. My Grandfather Olson worked, and retired from Studebaker.
I never knew this about him. Very Sad for sure. He must have bought this mausoleum before he went under. It sure is beautiful. RIP Albert ❤ 💐
Love this channel! Thanks Ron 😊
Thanks Ron! 👍👍👍
He had a mausoleum like that, and he was broke.
I thought the same thing, but maybe some of his still-well heeled friends and business associates kicked in for it. I also imagine that his family had to sell their estate/s, too, but he probably had some funds left- just no more new ones coming in to replace them... sad story.

How sad 😔 RIP Mr. Erkstine
Mom lived a block East of Erskine Blvd in South Bend. His home became a Catholic girl's school.
So very sad.
What a sad story. Studebaker went out of business about 1963.
Maybe he was trying to be loyal to the workers 😢 So sad 😢 Hope he's in Heaven driving around having fun ❤️
