Nice review! I've had the S130 1989 Royal Saloon Sedan with 2.0L i6 automatic with burgundy fabric interior. Features was reduced in my region, but still had the auto headlight features and electric seats, coolbox, etc. I have driven the 1974 S70, 1978 S80, 1982 S110, 2001 S170 And I think the S130 is the best version of Toyota Crown I personally would take the 1UZ Sedan first, then the wagon 😆
Wow that condition on the cars are amazing... Got an crown sedan too with the 1uzfe. But mine was standing behind an barn for 6 years... Greetings from Germany.
I saw a Crown Van (basic version of wagon) with blue vinyl interior, front bench manual windows and 4 speed column-shift manual transmission on an auction listing. Depending on trim level, I think it's better compared to a Mercury Grand Marquis or Lincoln Town Car, but those are significantly bigger vehicles. The Crown is close in size to a 6th generation Accord.
WOW, I had no clue they made a Crown wagon. RWD 1JZ?!! Would look great next to my Camry wagon and LS400. Actually the crown wagon kinda looks like a mix of the two... has two rear wipers too!!

we got these Crowns in my country as brand new and used import, but I gotta say that V8 sound is totally foreign even to me, because we never got the V8. As for the Crown logo (in place of Toyota), back when these cars were new, Toyota never put Toyota logos on any of their cars, at least not the JDM ones. Each model line had a unique logo, from the Starlet and Tercel, right up to the Century. When the brand was stated on the cars, it was a logo spelling out Toyota
Seems like the Crown sedan has a strong resemblance to the first generation Lexus ES. Of course the ES250 was based off the front wheel drive Camry but the style is definitely similar.
Very similar driving wise. In October I have a 2005 LS430 Review coming out, and I would say they feel even closer to that. Which is crazy that a decade separates the crown and LS430.
I'd take the sedan without a question. I'd put some bags on it and I'd fit some nice boso style 13 inch or 14 inch wheels and dress it the frick out with some junction produce products to make it a cool VIP (bippu) style Yota! I am in love with the Crowns.
What would you take home? The 1uz Sedan or the 1jz Wagon?
Funny enough i already imported an own a 1jz crown wagon

I had a GS131 Crown here in the States. Sold it in February. I miss it.

交通情报 in 6:47 should meant "Traffic Condition/Report", I'm guessing there are unique channel in Japan that report traffic condition for you?
I have a 1989 wagon for sale.126k miles. Very clean. In Kentucky.
My parents bought this sedan in 1992. We still have it
My 2001 Mazda 626 2.0 M/T had that swing feature.
My 81 model Toyota Crown Royal Saloon has the majority of these features, with the exception of the touchscreen and airbag suspension.
That autozam az1 reference killed me XD
Tom's turbo garage approves 🙂

Blue dot red dot is such a good idea
I owned the 1989 wagon absolutely amazing mine was 7 seater with rear fridge very luxurious better than European rubbish
Hi I have uzs131 v8 saloon aswell. Do you know were any airbag suspension is available?
I drove one of these in the 90,s. Could you talk more about the comparison against gran vic
lets be honest here i love the wagon also it does look like a coffin carrier
They use the Toyota wagon as a hearse
Why did you say "but" instead of "and?"
@@questioner1596 i wrote something and then changed my mind. must have slipped my eyes when i recheck

I would take the wagon if it had all of the techy gimics of the sedan (digi dash, cd nav, rear seat recline etc) but i would probably have a 1uz
You would need 10k plus for the sedan
I don't think these had air suspension, they were hydraulics.
How would you compare driving these vs the LS400?

Beautiful Wagon!
That's not a sedan.it's called hardtop.Like some american cars from 60's and 70"s.
Wagon w original wheels
The sedan has different wheels
