I'm from UP, and I'd problems with the Central BJP(not the state govt, I even voted for them in 2022), and I didn't vote for anyone, because I didn't want to vote for that crappy opposition, lekin BJP ko bhi nahi kar sakta tha. I was in Ayodhya around the Temple inauguration. Lots of locals have lost their shops. This means losing their livelihood and source of income. Their entire families are now struggling to survive. They were not given proper money coz of corrupt local politicians. BJP took this too lightly.
How would those families vote for BJP?
Ideally, those people should have been given a shop at the same place. They should have been allowed to pay the govt back in EMI over years by the money they'll earn from new shops coz now those shops will give huge profits. BJP local leadership failed to think and plan properly, thereby affecting the lives of local people negatively.
Anyways, hope BJP learns from this and bounces back stronger in future. A good reality check!

We went to ayodhya previous month and all main road was blocked in Ayodhya so all good roads are useless since e-rickshaw driver aren't allowed use it due to security reasons (it's been a year). Has to spend 150rs. for distance for 0.5km(which is now 4km away due to security reasons). Problem was real. BJP was ignoring U.P. I think but still using other places voteship they should have won but still they lost. No idea.

Temple is important for people but ground level righteousness and basic development of local people matters to them more.......spoke some of my bjp friends in ayodhya even they said they aren't sad for bjp loosing ayodhya. UP has always been an unpredictable state. Ye MP/gujarat ki tarah itna easily determine nahi hota hai. biggest underdog that nobody talks about is MILITARY and EX-SERVICE-MEN. I come from a military family and most of the jawans and veterans do not like modi. So turnout wise not big difference. So it was just cuddling to religion than local issues, projecting self a lot and disrespecting other leaders resulted in Modi’s loss.
