    Sweet stuff I have a leg shroud on my Condor Tactical duty belt! I transfer my patrolman duty holster from this belt and to my tactical belt using the QLS release system. No more waisting money on holsters.

    I had to come here because Safariland has abysmal reference photos and videos for their products.

    I am looking to purchase a holster for my Glock 23 Gen 4 with no light or optic currently. One potentially dumb question I have is regarding belt size.
    I plan on attaching my holster in some fashion to my Blue Alpha Gear Molle 1.75" Double Belt Rig. The outer belt is 1.75" wide while the inner belt is 1.5" wide.
    The 6004-27 Single Strap Leg Shroud With Drop Flex Adapter states that it accepts belt widths 2" - 2.25". Does that mean my belt has to be between 2" and 2.25" wide or does it also accept a smaller 1.75" belt like mine?

      @copquest  Год назад +1

      The DFA (Drop Flex Adapter) is designed to work with a standard 2.25” duty belt, but it will also accommodate 2”, 1.75” and 1.5” belts. Since you’re using a MOLLE belt, a 6004UFA (Universal Flex Adaptor) with a MLS(MOLLE Locking System) 16 might be a better option for you; part number 23-6553 (copquest.com/safariland-6004-ufa-universal-flex-adapter-on-single_23-6550.htm).
      I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to either respond to this comment, call our customer service team (800-728-0974), or email us at info@copquest.com.

      @copquest Thank you for your reply! You've certainly earned a subscriber!
      Too confirm I would thread the MLS16 through my belt Molle and connect that to the 6004UFA which I would than connect via a QLS 19 Fork to whatever holster I buy. Correct? Any recommendations on which holster to buy that doesn't contain extra rigging since I would be ourchasing these other products as well?
      Some of these Safariland products with their acronyms are a bit confusing!

    • @copquest
      @copquest  Год назад +1

      @@Jeff_51786 You’re welcome, and thank you for the subscription.
      Yes, the MLS 16 would thread through the belt MOLLE. The MLS 16 would then be connected to a UFA, which in turn is connected to a leg shroud.
      A holster can be mounted directly to the leg shroud or the QLS (Quick Locking System) can be used; QLS 19 is attached to the holster and QLS 22 is attached to the leg shroud.
      We agree the acronyms can be confusing, so if you’d like to call and speak with David, please call our customer service team at 800-728-0974 and ask to speak with him. He’ll be in the office till 4:30pm PST today.

    Could I just run the DFA with a QLS without the leg shroud?

    • @copquest

      The DFA is not designed to be used without a leg shroud.

    • @counkev

      @@copquest It looks like it should that's why I was curious. Is the DFA and leg shroud study enough/firm enough to be used without a leg strap?

      @@counkev The leg strap is necessary in order to hold the leg shroud in place.

    • @copquest
      @copquest  2 года назад

      Hey Ramon, great question! David typically hand screws all 3 screws in before using the torque driver to fully tighten them. This video is for the UBLs, but the same principles apply and may help: ruclips.net/video/A2Nl3rwgF08/видео.html

    The 6004-27 is senseless for patrol officers who have to get in and out of patrol units. The "Flex" adapter, Does not flex..It binds, and twists, causeing the hard plastic to dig into your leg/thigh area. It also causes the belt piece to twist and pulls on your belt in awkward angles. this design makes no sense what so ever.
