@@ashtongrey6755 I wouldn't say it's standard, but it's common for some bands to tune down 1/2 step. And you're right, singing at your top range in the studio is much easier to pull off than doing so for an hour+ a night without the luxury of breaks, etc. It also becomes more strenuous as you age.
@@TheTrendkillerx Yes, studio version can be nice and all. I can say it's a good sound definitely like. But Dexter can't keep it in tune when live. So, they improvise by tunning it down I suppose. I know many bands do that. It's easier for them to sing.
Sounds like a really great live studio mix. Likely did a few takes. Apart from maaaaybe a couple of tracks (sounds like some keys and/or steel drum tucked back in the mix) this sounds live to me (and I'm a stickler. Canned tracks are a big turn off/pet peeve). I'm not a big Offspring fan, but I'm impressed with this. Sounds great!
Scratch my comment regarding canned keys/steel drum. Didn't realize the 3rd guitar player also covers those parts (and some great backing vocals) after watching other live performances. Great addition to the band!
I will always say it...The Offspring is one of the best bands in history. They continue making such a great music
These guys playing as good if not better than they did when I was a kiddo 20+yrs ago!
Я из России...и слушаю Offspring с 1999 года... спасибо что вы есть!!!
Давай давай э! И пошел и пошел!!!
The Offspring rocks ✊ 🔥
Holy shit, Dexter looks like he's dropped some pounds and sound amazing, for a bunch of dudes in their mid/late 50s this was decent!
He definitely slimmed down, and not being on the road touring seems to have allowed his voice time to finally recover a bit.
@@ktktwix do you all not see that most of this is lip-synched?
Great sound here 👏
❤️❤️❤️ legend ❤️❤️❤️
Noodles looks like looking inside of an aquarium
Hahaha. Noodles is the best
No se pasen de vergaaaaa los amooooooo❤️❤️❤️❤️
Melhor álbum da banda
Um comediante mesmo ! kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Amazing song, but have you tried Dexters' Hot sauce?
Yes. Its really good. Not super hot just taste good
I forgot Greg k isn’t in the band anymore
Why are they playing it like a whole octave lower?
They've been doing this live a while now...
It's easier on Dexter's voice. I'm happy that they do it so that Dexter can sing in tune 😎
1/2 step down (to be accurate)
It’s a pretty standard thing for some bands to do blink 182 and Green Day do it sometimes too it’s better for preserving the singers voice usually

Seems like the live version is way lower than the original...
It actually sounds even better. Dexter can actually sing that well
@@tomasvircik3742 I prefer the studio version

Sounds mimed.
