so the cop could have said right off the bat why they were there , asked if he were the person he was looking for or if that person was inside . instead he decided to be an arrogant ass to show his authority and power . well , when you come up against someone with just as much you may have your ass handed to you . be respectful you get respect . be aggressive you get aggression. most exmilitary have put up with this shit for at least 4 years they dont intimidate easily.

But the homeowner doesn't need to explain himself nor follow any standard of behavior except his own. Sure, the man doesn't know when to stop talking but that's his right. On that, the cop is totally out of line telling him how to behave in his home/curtilage.
