The issue might stem from the Blender add-on being unzipped before installation. Blender usually expects add-ons to be installed from .zip files. Here are quick steps to address this: 1. Uninstall the existing version of the MMD_UUUNYAA tools from Blender. You can do this by going to Edit -> Preferences -> Add-ons, find the add-on, and click 'Remove'. 2. If you've unzipped the add-on file, re-zip it. Use the original .zip file name. 3. Try reinstalling the add-on in Blender from the .zip file. In the future, remember to install Blender add-ons directly from their .zip files unless specified otherwise in the add-on documentation. Pink is blenders way to tell you that you are missing the textures. that might have happened for a few different reasons the first would be that you change the name of the texture file or just move it from your pcs location another one would be that just blender just never remembers where that file was located from a glitch on the save and a few several other ways. not to usually fix this you just need to tell blender where that image is at, if all your textures are in the same place then you can tell blender to look there, and if they are in several locations then you need to go to each material and browse to each location the first fix is File - External data - find missing files then just find the folder with all your textures and that should fix it the 2nd longer way would be on each individual material texture that is missing Click on your mesh - go to the Shading Tap on top - on the side Material Properties you need to click on the material that is pink - in the shading window you need to click on the texture Node they are Orange and click on the Folder icon button - browse to where the image texture is located and your set. rinse and repeat as you need to. ok seems like this is a long-winded explanation but I hope this will help

1. Tried downloading Aether and Lumine model using Assets tab, but couldn't import them due to "fail to execute unrar or winrar" "please install unrar or winrar and setup PATH properly."
2. After deleting the two models, tried redownloading them only to be unable to, instead having to retry without success.
3. Did the same with a hilichurl model, looked online setting up path, made a PATH using advanced systems settings and control panel (Because using windows) and still got the error after restarting.
4. Downloaded the Keqing model with zero fuss somehow, tried importing it, only for it to say "AttributeError: 'Armature' object has no attribute 'collections'
It's very exhausting. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?
how to fix this issue, no I did it before but I just don't remember how I did it, but its a Windows thing, not Blender nor the zip files, what you need to do is associate the .zip files to always get open with WinRAR, its somewhere in the windows settings.
now this will be a pain in the ass so just open up the models the normal way, what you can do is download the asset models then look at the file location they got sent to then just do the normal import in Blender for the model, yeah it's not a 1 click thing but it is the only workaround if you can't link WinRAR to be your main .zip opener in windows
pretty better rendering clouds than regular blender 4.0
you lost me, what do you mean?
@@DJP_3d Blender 4.0 need powerful pc with graphicscards of NASA, my of laptop with 8 giga ram with intel 7 render not the best than cycle actually
I tried cumulus cloud following tutorial. by metaballs and lightning and its totally different
@@DJP_3d The blender 3.6 LTS gave me better result in rendering
@@ThomasHill-jc4di Ahh yeah they are changing how things render on the 4.0+ I suggest you wait till the 4.2LTS build is up and running as that one will be the stable build and they won't be playing with things anymore so you can truly test what blender build will be the one to work with
now as for needing a NASA PC that is so true at least for Blender as it has so much bloatware that you will never use all that extra stuff is still running in the background but unless you go to a dedicated program you will be playing with blenders all in one bundle and take the hit on renders or baking.
now if you want a faster blender build for rendering then you might try out K-cycles, it is a paid blender fork but as I use it it is faster then the standard blender and way more if you are doing cycles rendering
blendermarket.com/products/k-cycles/?ref=1290
will this work on 4.0 version?
Sorry but not yet
Mmd tools and uuunyaa tools has not been updated yet to work on blender 4.0
Uuunyaa is working on it but don't expect much until we have the LTS for the 4.0 series
Bruh i can't even import the addons idk why. I use blender 3.6 too and alredy try all version of mmd tools
not sure what to say if that's the issue you are having, but it should be the latest one on github unless you grab the new beta experimental for the 4.1 version, but you need to dig to get that one so not sure why it won't work
the only thing I can think of is that you are getting a conflict as in maybe you have CATs plugin, but what you can try to do is get a portable blender build and test it out on a clean new blender install

hey bro i'm having trouble installing addons
after i click on "install Add-on" i cannot find it in tool preferences where you type "mmd" it's all blank
what do i do? i have blender 3.6 LTS and have not opened the zip file
its most likely because you have a newer version of blender like 3.6.12 . This guy has 3.6.0. so try that. i also know trying xps models have the same issue and are very picky with the specific ver. i recommend 2.9 or 2.8 cause i can do both xps and mmd models at the same time.
@@FrostDagger same problem even with 3.6.0 broo.....
im having the same issue, have you resolved it yet?

Why is my model pink?
Pink is blenders way to tell you that you are missing the textures.
that might have happened for a few different reasons
the first would be that you change the name of the texture file or just move it from your pcs location
another one would be that just blender just never remembers where that file was located from a glitch on the save and a few several other ways.
not to usually fix this you just need to tell blender where that image is at, if all your textures are in the same place then you can tell blender to look there, and if they are in several locations then you need to go to each material and browse to each location
the first fix is File - External data - find missing files
then just find the folder with all your textures and that should fix it
the 2nd longer way would be on each individual material texture that is missing
Click on your mesh - go to the Shading Tap on top - on the side Material Properties you need to click on the material that is pink - in the shading window you need to click on the texture Node they are Orange and click on the Folder icon button - browse to where the image texture is located and your set.
rinse and repeat as you need to.
ok seems like this is a long-winded explanation but I hope this will help
@@DJP_3d tysm! I'll read it tomorrow because I'm going to sleep lol
Why I can't click the link that you put on the description?
youtube changed that,

Hi, does anyone know how to animate belly and breast expansions in MMD?
you have to make the proper morphs after that just keyframe it to your liking
its quite easy to make those shapekeys in blender and quite a bit of work on pmxe
@@DJP_3d So do the expansions in Blender or PMX before animating in MMD
Oh, I was doing it Wrong
what part did you or where were you getting stuck on?
@@DJP_3d The Wrong Zip
@@alexistramirez opps that would do it
@@DJP_3dyeah I think I used the wrong zip as well, I used the Dev Test one and it still never showed up but it said it installed
Hello, Im not sure if im doing it right or not.
I've installed both the mmd tools and Uuunyaa mmd blender tools in 4.2 LTS yet only the mmd tools show up as a successful addon while the uuunyaa blender tools do not show as an enabled addon but just say. I've installed both as a zip and did NOT ever unzip the 2 files.
" Modules Installed () from 'C:\\Users\\XXX\\Desktop\\MMD TOOL\\blender_mmd_uuunyaa_tools-main.zip' into 'C:\\Users\\Vue\\AppData\\Roaming\\Blender Foundation\\Blender\\4.2\\scripts\\addons' "
Is this normal or no?
@@Bonkbork mmdtools is still in the beta stage for 4.2 so it's still bugging at random times so it's not recommended to get worked on
And for Uuunyaa tool's that's totally not supported for 4.2 at all
So in short if you're going to be working on MMD model stuff just stick with 3.6
What you can try to do is open your model projects in 3.6 - save then boot up the file in 4.2
If you do this then check for any errors before saving the file
