#TheBrutalist tells the story of László Tóth (Adrien Brody), a Jewish-Hungarian Holocaust survivor who immigrates to America. With family in Pennsylvania, László travels to Philadelphia where he and his cousin find work renovating the library of the wealthy and eccentric Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce). He finds financial success and is soon reunited with his wife Erzsébet (Felicity Jones) and niece Zsófia (Raffey Cassidy). But their luck doesn’t last long in this immigrant tale of survival directed by Brady Corbet, who co-wrote the script with Mona Fastvold. Also starring Joe Alwyn, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, ‬Isaach de Bankolé and Alessandro Nivola‬. In theaters December 20 from ‪@A24‬.
