So elegant as they glide through the beautiful waters of Achill. Hard to believe ireland used to catch them for there oils eg. Let us all learn from are past and protect the world we live in.
So good to see them coming back to Keem Bay. They had virtually disappeared during the 1970s after extensive hunting in the area. I can remember the shark oil factory which made for a very sad sight. Beautiful creatures.
June, they are at the surface in Ireland from April to August. They spend the rest of the year migrating or just really deep down underwater. Inis Acaills Keem Bay has beautiful water. On a fine day its class, tá sé áilleacht
Today (17th July) They were swimming a few metres away from swimmers. It was a fabulous 25°+ day and very clear. They were pretty relaxed and happy considering the bay was full of people!
Look at our beautiful Atlantic waters. God bless Ireland 🇮🇪❤️🍀
Saw one today in Keem Bay.. still buzzing

If I ever go THERE ... I'll NEVER LEAVE! .... (That's a Dream World compared to winters in Toronto).
