My favorite is the Black Webbed Suit. This really proves it wasn't a recolor or a remodeled version of the Webbed Suit but a completely separate one that has the same affect as the Symbiote.

There's a bit of confusion with the Sam Raimi Black Suit If you take damage, it doesn't rip appart the costume like a Symbiote Suit But When you use LB moves when swinging, Spider-man'll use the mechanical arms like a Normal Suit It's not clear if Insomniac really counted this costume as a Symbiote or a Non-Symbiote..that should be noted

Now that I think about it, I think Peter may make his future suit fire resistant. I know he added insulation against electricity in case he ever fights Electro again. So maybe with after Kasady trying to burn him alive, he would add that. Insomniac has stated that Spider-Man to them is Iron Man to the MCU. He always learns from his mistakes.

my personal favorite burnt suit is TASM 2:27 but the infinity war suit 13:54 was the most satisfying to watch I find it weird that the symbiotes didn't have a burnt version of their own since symbiotes are susceptible to fire
The symbiotes in this game are immune to fire that’s probably why, but they didn’t want to go through the effort of showing Peter immune to the pain of the fire and just make the suit immune
This universe symbiotes are immune to fire. The developers mentioned this also in an interview... I think they chose to do this simply because it removed a lot of extra story and details. Sound being the suits weakness was a major segment and plot in the story, imagine them doing fire also.
If you think about it The amount of time peter nearly died, is the reason peter needed a break Its great because in the comics, dudes barely getting any break

I honestly cant blame them. Hell, the only damaged Raimi suit they couldve reasonably used is Spider-Man 2. 1 and 3 showed Peter's eyes, nose and mouth.
Then again most battle damaged raimi suits just damage the mask and not so much the suit itself... So seeing it wiht multiple rips and tears would look weird as hell.
I feel like the whole mechanical arms & symbiote mechanics when speed gliding , parrying etc shouldn't even be based off the suits. Symbiotes are inside them and can be fully hidden. I think Insomniac Games should do 1 of 2 things. 1/ have an in-game options setting where you choose to use mechanical or symbiote 2/ have the mechanical arms and symbiote randomly trigger, so when you parry it can be either or, no pattern, no choice, it just changes constantly. Both of these options would make more sense. An options menu for the players, purely based on preference or/and random triggers seeing the fact that peter has both at his disposal with any suit he wears.

TASM2 suit is unique. It's look is ripped straight out of the comics. But it comes with the detailed fabric, webbing patterns and stich lines. It manages to stick out like a sore thumb, yet also fit into the real world as well. And that's what Spider-Man's suit SHOULD look like.

The final boss is like 30 minutes long, compared to Doc Ock's 5 minute fight, so I think it would be a real wasted opportunity for Insomniac games to lock it again, especially with the character switchesd, boss arenas, QTE events etc involved in the Venom fight.
I don't think that heals repairing the suit is a bad thing, but what they should add is 2 new options in the settings. Turn suit damage on/off turning suit repair on/off This way everyone's happy and it adds a new feature people can use to make future playthroughs new and different. All cutscenes, full gameplay, all boss videos etc with damaged suits would be amazing IMO
Yes it is. The train mission unlocks the purple "saving lives" suit, so it was impossible to add to the train scene without new game plus. So instead, I damaged the suit and used the spider-verse scene to showcase the damage here. It thought this was a better option than to miss it out completely.
The suits gets damaged when you take damage. So I had to start each scene at full health, which was a little tedious considering there's a 5 minute fight prior that I had to do before each scene, and to remove suit damage you can also heal, which also heals the suit.
Maybe if they spent less time on suit damage they would have added the basic features that were in the last game, like setting time of day and replaying base encounters. Or any of the actually good Peter suits like Last Stand, Future Foundation, animated, etc. Very middling experience.
The game's still a new release. We still have New Game Plus+ to arrive, and most likely 10+ new costumes, as well as DLC extensions over the next year or so. Setting the time of day shouldn't be available until NG+ in my opinion.
