I just love y’all’s puppies and kittens. They are so great, and they mind very well. We got a new puppy she is 2 lbs. Her name is Bay. She follows us all over the house. And she sleeps with us. I can’t believe how much joy she brings to us. My granddaughter has really bad anxiety but when she has Bay with her she is a different person. Bay is good for her. Bay is her support animal. I’m really glad we got Bay she is good for all of us. Thank you for sharing your videos. Can’t wait to see more of your animals.

Nice to see Joe take a break and hangout with the kids and dogs from all his never-ending to-do-list. I love the addition of Lexxy and Ollie added to your brood. She opens up more oppportunities for the boys and you and Joe get to have date nights! Your curls looked great but they seemed to fall out too quick. Made me think of Dippity Do!
Well I have extremely oily hair and my hair was not washed this day. When it’s clean, it holds much better. Plus my hair is SUPER long and heavy. I’m left with a beautiful curly wave tho that I love!😍
Water woes is a never ending worry and effort. I've lost water 5 times this past year. 3 from freezing pipes, 1 to fixing a frost free spigot and lastly a leak under the kitchen sink. All you can do it fix it as it occurs, and hope for a respite afterwards. It will be nice to have Lexxy's boyfriend around to help Joe out with the many projects, at least until he figures out how he is going to earn his keep in Alaska.
James already has a full time job waiting for him that he starts at the end of the month.😉 But yea, it will be super nice to have some help with projects on the homestead!☺️
Loved the video today... as always. Seeing Joe's, "selfie-stick" and listening to Lexxy, "not Lexi, not Lexy, ..." working on her first video brought back memories of the first time I made a video. I was in my late fifties in 2020 when Covid hit and I had been filling the pulpit of a small rural church, basically as an interim pastor, for about a year. Not being one to sit around and do nothing while church people grew comfortable with "sheltering in place", I decided to video the messages and post them to RUclips for our people at church. Having never done something like that I watched a few how-to videos and went to work. Not having a tripod or anything more than a cell phone for recording I had to dig deep and pull a rabbit out of the hat so to speak to make it work. In addition to equipment concerns, I didn't want to be constantly looking at my notes while I was working through the message so I grabbed a small flat-screen TV and set it up on a table in front of me, and used it as a monitor for my laptop. That way, I had my notes on the screen out in front of me. Initially, I had my phone propped up on a music stand next to the TV screen but I didn't like the effect it gave when looking off to the side to read my notes. So, being the redneck creative genius that I am, I decided to use blue painter's tape and tape my cell phone to the TV screen right next to my notes and it worked great. With this setup, I could see my notes on the screen, right next to my phone, on camera, it looked like I was looking right into the eyes of my viewers, and I could see the background that had worked hard to create a warm and comfortable setting. I did a couple test runs and everything was working great for a first-timer who had no idea what he was doing. So, I decided to go for it and record the message for the following Sunday. Needing to see myself in the camera to make sure I was "in-frame", I had backrolled the painter's tape on itself so I could stick it to the back of the camera and then to the TV screen next to my notes. Now, picturing this as someone off to one side watching this taking place, you would see the TV in front of me, with my cell phone stuck to the TV screen with blue painter's tape, me in the middle, sitting on a few books on a piano bench in order to get the right height in relation to the background and the camera on my cell phone, and you would see my guitar and a small table behind me with some flowers on it for background. And then it happened. About ten minutes into the message I remember thinking "Wow! This is going better than I thought it would!". But there was one thing I didn't take into consideration. Do you know what happens to blue painter's tape when it warms up on a surface like a TV screen or a cell phone? Not only does it warm up, but what I began to realize was, it also loosens up. So, as I was getting into a groove with the message I began noticing a slight movement with the cell phone, and while trying to stay in frame, and stay on point with the message, I could see the cell phone starting to roll down the TV screen as the painter's tape I had backrolled began to loosen. As it did, I also noticed I was starting to get out of frame. So to adjust for this I sort of scrunched down a bit on the piano bench to stay in-frame as the cell phone continued to roll down the TV screen a quarter of an inch at a time... as did I on the piano bench. Giving credit where credit is due, I did a pretty good job of staying in frame while the cell phone slid down the TV screen. And had you not been watching in person, one would have never known that by the time I was three-quarters the way through the message this nearly sixty-year-old man was off the piano bench and on his knees trying to stay in frame. And in all honesty, I would have pulled it off except for one thing. What I didn't notice at first, during all my gymnastics maneuvers, was that each time I scrunched down to stay in frame, the flowers on the table in the background appeared to be growing out of the back of my head. And that's when I learned another new thing called... "Take Two".

Having never done something like that I watched a few how-to videos and went to work. Not having a tripod or anything more than a cell phone for recording I had to dig deep and pull a rabbit out of the hat so to speak to make it work. In addition to equipment concerns, I didn't want to be constantly looking at my notes while I was working through the message so I grabbed a small flat-screen TV and set it up on a table in front of me, and used it as a monitor for my laptop. That way, I had my notes on the screen out in front of me. Initially, I had my phone propped up on a music stand next to the TV screen but I didn't like the effect it gave when looking off to the side to read my notes. So, being the redneck creative genius that I am, I decided to use blue painter's tape and tape my cell phone to the TV screen right next to my notes and it worked great. With this setup, I could see my notes on the screen, right next to my phone, on camera, it looked like I was looking right into the eyes of my viewers, and I could see the background that had worked hard to create a warm and comfortable setting. I did a couple test runs and everything was working great for a first-timer who had no idea what he was doing. So, I decided to go for it and record the message for the following Sunday. Needing to see myself in the camera to make sure I was "in-frame", I had backrolled the painter's tape on itself so I could stick it to the back of the camera and then to the TV screen next to my notes. Now, picturing this as someone off to one side watching this taking place, you would see the TV in front of me, with my cell phone stuck to the TV screen with blue painter's tape, me in the middle, sitting on a few books on a piano bench in order to get the right height in relation to the background and the camera on my cell phone, and you would see my guitar and a small table behind me with some flowers on it for background. And then it happened. About ten minutes into the message I remember thinking "Wow! This is going better than I thought it would!". But there was one thing I didn't take into consideration. Do you know what happens to blue painter's tape when it warms up on a surface like a TV screen or a cell phone? Not only does it warm up, but what I began to realize was, it also loosens up. So, as I was getting into a groove with the message I began noticing a slight movement with the cell phone, and while trying to stay in frame, and stay on point with the message, I could see the cell phone starting to roll down the TV screen as the painter's tape I had backrolled began to loosen. As it did, I also noticed I was starting to get out of frame. So to adjust for this I sort of scrunched down a bit on the piano bench to stay in-frame as the cell phone continued to roll down the TV screen a quarter of an inch at a time... as did I on the piano bench. Giving credit where credit is due, I did a pretty good job of staying in frame while the cell phone slid down the TV screen. And had you not been watching in person, one would have never known that by the time I was three-quarters the way through the message this nearly sixty-year-old man was off the piano bench and on his knees trying to stay in frame. And in all honesty, I would have pulled it off except for one thing. What I didn't notice at first, during all my gymnastics maneuvers, was that each time I scrunched down to stay in frame, the flowers on the table in the background appeared to be growing out of the back of my head. And that's when I learned another new thing called... "Take Two".
