Wonderful lesson my dearest! Schwa is really the ultimate secret of British English! On that note, Anna, have you ever realised that: Schwa, in fact /ə/ is somehow the laziest sound there is: it demands the least of speakers; The schwa just is, serene and undemanding: The vibration of air through the body to the outside world. Basically, the Essence of speech itself! ... Thank you Anna, you are an extraôôdinary teacher! 😘🌹❤
Hi Anna,I love, how you structured your contents, I like it even I`m professional Accountant, M addicted its just fifteen minutes easy peasy learning something new. keep it up, amazing job, love you 😊
Big fan of yours! Mesmerising content as always ! Anna, you are the best ever! My heartfelt thanks for such an inspiring and insightful tips! Best regards from RJ-Brazil 🇧🇷🙋🤩
I'm new to the English language, and when I wanted to learn the language, I started watching movies and series... I noticed that the British accent is wonderful.. I have a question: Is the accent on the channel a dialect that I can speak all over the world?👍🏻
I m Student from India . When I was seeing this video then It's just 19:51 but It looking like 1 hr video,Because not a single second is blank , there is information in single second. Really too much hardworking in creating Quality Content.
Thank you so much our great, brilliant teacher Anna. Could you some day explain how to pronounce that tricky word three I still have difficulties to pronounce that word.
I'm watching because I'm Finnish and I grew up with American movies so based on how I speak, everyone thinks I've spent a lot of time in the U.S. Lately I've come to think that maybe after trying to speak like an American for 30 years, I might try something different :D Or as The Clash sang 47 years ago -- not in RP, mind -- "I'm so bored with the USA".
In Catalan we have the SCHWA sound. It's our neutral vowel. It doesn't exist in Spanish. It's une advantage that we have in order to learn to pronounce and listen English.
I just stumbled on your channel today and I must say ur videos are great. How come I didn't find out about this.. I'll really love to learn it. Can you help me ma'am?
I adore the British accent. However, I'm American , I'm*not* an actress, and English is my first language... I'm wondering if it's considered rude to learn to speak with a British accent instead. I'm not trying to convince anyone that I'm from England or anything; I just want to speak properly, more often
I stopped watching this great video after the schwa bit, yeah, I know and insist on the v sound in the word "of" and I know but don't insist on the schwa sound for the o with my students because they're young (11-15), sometimes I do though, for them to start being aware of the "phenomenon" 😂 I always insist on the schwa sound at the end of all the words ending with er, or, al, el.
*ENGLISH accent. If it was a Scottish accent, you'd call it a Scottish accent. If it was a Welsh accent, you'd call it a Welsh accent. So when it's an English accent, why do you call it a "British accent"?
@@Enigma_surf13 It's not a "British accent". There is no such thing as a British accent. That's like saying "North American accent". It's an English accent, end of discussion.
But there is no such thing as a British accent. There are several English accents, several Welsh accents, several Scottish accents, and several Irish accents. I know you say this in the video, but this title really annoys me.
Love to learn British RP accent and with teacher Anna it's ice on the cake.

Hello! What's about other England's regional accents
(norfolk, bolton, merseyside, cumbrian, northumbrian, Lincolnshire, cornish)

I’m American accent speaker, but the theatre teacher force me talk ( RP ) 😂
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome!
Hi Anna , Thank you for this video.
Today, I didn't receive the notification for your 5 a day. Did I miss it?
Hi Anna What is the difference between Modern RP and Standard English?
They are essentially different names for the same thing. There are marginal differences between RP and Modern RP.

How difficult the last long vowel sound.
Because we want to speak like native speaker
laibrary / laibrary / or /laibry?
I feel like as an Aussie we automatically do the schwa a lot
Good tongue
Woah please

Because people from America speak a different form of English and would wonder what she's talking about.
