Hi Hillary, thanks for the nice words. I've tried to get women in this series, but they feel more reluctant to come on camera. But I'll keep on trying. In a few weeks I will release a video interview With Jule. She's a you woman from Germany. She's an artist who paints and draws on bicycles. I hope you'll watch it and let me know what you think of it. Regards, Helgi
This is actually a good idea. Now when all cargo bikes are getting electrified, non-powered versions should find it’s own spot in the market. And going lightweight could be a way to go.
Wow, 20kg is definitely very surprisingly light for a Bullitt. I ride a Merida hybrid and stark naked (the bike, not me!) it's 18kg. Add mudguards, racks, bags, a variety of accessories and locks and chains for security and that's about 25kg before I sit on it myself or add luggage which sometimes can be substantial. Just a comment from someone who doesn't own a Bullitt and won't own a Bullitt but appreciates the love and passion that owners have for their machines.
Thanks for all the great videos, are all of Ittais bikes regulars as opposed to bullitt X? I assume they are regular but for some reason look long in the video.
Love it! Mine's a pig now (love it anyway) but someday when my kids are doing riding around it it this is my plan: superlighten it! I told my wife there's others like me!
very curious how you routed the cables internally, and if there’s and regret for accessibility if/when things need replacement or adjustments? great bike!
If you wanna know how it works the other way around, check mine. I tried to adapt my former messenger Bullitt to be as flexible as possible, and outfitted it with a huge custombuilt multifunctional box, capable if handling my 2 kids (8 amd 11), or 120+ kg of tools and hardware. At the same time, I can adjust the steeringhouse and bidy position on my bike with just 2 levers, enabling a max. heigjt difference of over 35cm. Oh, and I used it for racing the Monstertriathlon last September.
Thank you for the response, this has set the ball rolling to build a Bullitt for the Nord Cape 4000 race in July 4000km on a Bullitt what ever next. 😂@@BicycleLoveWorld
Hi Xtian, sent me a mail at helgidecreus@skynet.be and I will pass you the contact info of Ittai. He let me know that he still has zome rods that he's willing to sell. Regards, Helgi
@@BicycleLoveWorld ohh no! If he does want to start up making them again I would love to hear it n I found someone who makes carbon homeycomb boards, and someone who might make carbon bbbx side panels. Add the carbon suspended seatpost and steering rod and you can really go super light.
Hi Wintermetz, The carbon steering rod is available at velution.shop. It's owned by Eric van der Meer. Who's also a passionate Bullitteer rider. If you contact Eric please tell him you got his contact info via me The titanium steering rod was made by Ittai. For that info you have to mail to me and I'll forward the mail to Ittai. You can find my mail address on the about tab of my RUclips channel. Cheers; Helgi
Hi Mark, Yes I've seen it serveral times on RUclips and Instagram. I would like to see one in real life. But I have not yet found an owner or shop that sells them in Belgium.
as of last year they've only made a ~100@@BicycleLoveWorld and covid induced material shortages likely don't favour making many either. i wish they didn't use those huge wheels, but i guess it's the niche they're going for. check out mellow mechanic's video about hydraulic steering (youtube video CESKYgDB1IQ) if you want to get rid of the steering rod altogether.
Hi Helgi, I am really enjoying this series! I was wondering if you might interview any women who own Bullitts at some point? Thanks.

Indeed. Soon there will be a video on my channel about the Velo-Lab cargo bikes. They are very lightweight

Much appreciated!
Beautiful bike! I'd love to feel the ride of a bullitt that light

Hi Grant, thanks for watching my content. Both Bullitts are regular size. At the time of recording the Bullitt X was not yet launched. Regards, Helgi
Ein tolles Bullitt ❤️
Ich liebe die Spank Spoon Räder. Deshalb fahre ich sie auch in Rot auf meinem Bullitt.
Top 👍

would love to know, whether this is still able to pick up 60-80kg load?
that should not be a problem

Can I order a titanium steering rod and. cup holder for my super light Bullitt goal?
Hi, titanium rod is no longer made and is sold out. I'm sorry.

the ginkgo is much lighter, but the cargo area is both much shorter and limited in height
