I LOVE Dolly’s ability to convey her emotion through her voice. I believe every word of every song.

Oof your falsetto on this does Dolly justice! And it's so nice to hear a breakdown of her expressive skill; country singers' technical skills tend to go under- appreciated

Dolly has me ready to go kick Jolene's ass😂

Dolly is so smooth with it. I don’t think anyone can do a cover that tops her original….something about that generation of singers (Dolly, Patti, Aretha). Their voices were something else.

YES! And...jmo..but the singers these days ALL sound the same. Singers 20 years + ago, each had a distinct sound. When you heard a song, you knew who it was.

@user-zg8vj6cj2s Totally agree with you! I had this same conversation with a friend of mine. Every singer has a unique voice. You knew it was Madonna, Whitney, Pat Benatar. They were unique. I miss that in music. Everyone basically sounds the same now.

She is absolutely stunning. I grew up seeing her but never really took the time to notice how really beautiful she is. I listened to some country music growing up but not much.

You should hear her older music. Some of it she actually yodels as part of the song she wrote. She has written many songs for other performers as well as her own. All around a top shelf performer.

That was from a variety shows she had when I was kid. Lots of leather and big hair. And always she sang us out with I Will Always Love You.

I like Dolly Parton. She's an icon. My mother and I used to watched the CMA's back when she was alive. I'm so glad that you did an analysis on Dolly.

    • @mechantechatonne

What do you mean when she was alive? She's still alive now.

    • @EmorettaRobinson

@@mechantechatonne I mean when my mother was alive. Not Dolly Parton who is still with us, meaning among the living.

Read it again! She was referring to her mums passing away. @@mechantechatonne

    I love Miss. Dolly Parton!
I remember when Dolly’s Jolene hit the charts 1973-74.
I love Chapel Hart’s song, their answer to Jolene, “You Can Have Him Jolene”!
    Dolly loved it as well!
