haha... love this video as well, and reminds me, we still have lots of readings to do for this set, which we'll get to this summer in the same style as my previous comment, we'll live stream the recording sessions, I can't wait to get to these :)
For some reason the way the sunlight is shining on you and reflecting off the comic book packaging adds to the relaxation; I think because it reminds me of lazy afternoons in childhood spent sprawled on the floor under my attic skylight, squinting, flipping through the pages of comics and books. Still mid-watch but great video as usual :)
Same here, his older videos felt much more catered to ASMR and relaxation compared to his newer videos. This particular video is always the first one in my recommended because I watch it every night lol
Only just discovered this video and channel this week but subbed instantly. Great comics, great content and even better screen presence. Keep doing your thing man 👍🏻
One year later and I still can't get enough of this video. I'll often say randomly "readers choice, viewers choice, subscribers choice.... Right?" love you Chycho!
Huge complement, brother, thank you. Funny thing is that those that follow my work for the math have also dubbed me the the Bob Ross of Mathematics... both being some of the best complements i've ever gotten regarding my work, so thank you again... and R.I.P. Bod, you brought a lot of joy to many around the world. Peace :)
Cool! I've had a few people comment or send me private messages telling me that the vids helped them get their GED, which I thought was awesome. I hope they work for you as well )
Hey there. Love the channel !! Would you happen to have an extra 1st appearance of Gambit for sale ? I’ve always wanted that book to frame, he’s my FAV. All the best brother !!!
I wish I was your neighbor. You seem like the nicest person. Well educated, interesting to talk to, and with similar hobbies to mine. Congrats on the channel!
Love your comic videos. I've been collecting for the past 15 years or so and your enthusiasm for your collection really gets me interested in working on my own. Just ordered Tales of the Teen Titans #44 after watching this video. That comic is the first appearance of Nightwing and the one thing I hadn't pulled the trigger on due to its price. After seeing all your first appearance books, I just had to grab it. Got a CGC graded 9.4 copy for $91. Keep the comic videos coming!! Oh, and I vote for V for Vendetta. :D
Plastic tomb is the perfect description for the slabs. Out of 15,000 plus books I have, I think I only have 9 or 10 graded, and those I acquired in the last 3 years or so in my 30 years of collecting. Something beautiful about being able to pull out any book from a collection and actually read it :)
Hard to choose, Sandman 8, Archer and Armstrong 1, Kamand 1i . I would like to hear you read something you like from your pull list. I don't have one right now and would like to know whats available to buy on trade later on. Thanks for what you do, Chycho.
+Rob Harris My pleasure, brother. As for what I picked, the previous video has 16 of my choices and sandman #8 is one of them. As for these reads, so far people are picking some nice books that i would love to read-re-read. Should be fun :)
+chycho Incidently, I decided to start my subscription with Midtown. Do you have any suggestions? I am limited to 25$ a month. I really like the magic in DC comics. Also does anyone know if Maxx maximized is a reprint or not, if its a reprint I don't want it? Here's what I have so far; Astro City Vol 3 #37( 07/20/2016 ), Doctor Strange Vol 4 #10 Cover A Regular Kevin Nowlan Cover( 07/20/2016 ),Hellblazer Rebirth #1 Cover A Regular Moritat Cover( 07/20/2016 ), MAXX MAXXIMIZED #33 SUBSCRIPTION VAR( 07/06/2016 ),Moon Knight Vol 8 #4( 07/06/2016 ), Unfollow #9( 07/06/2016 ).
Chycho, thats alot of great books to choose from its almost impossible to make a decision. But I narrowed it down lol I'd love to see a reading of any of the following - Giant size Chillers, Ren and Stimpy, Tomb of Dracula #1, Mystic 5, Plop. What ever you choose will be great im sure. Do you think would it be possible for another quick flick through The eye of doom too? Its a great story and has some fantastic artwork. Thanks for another great video Chycho, ill look forward to the next :)
You're very welcome, Paul, and those are definitely some good choices. As for Mystic #6, Eye of Doom, maybe in the future when I have more of Basil Wolverton's work we'll sit down and do one full video, sampling his courier. That would be awesome.
hello chycho. i didnt see this whole video yet, as i honestly found myself very sleepy around the one hr mark. a credit to your mellow manner. ty for settling that those comic sleeves w the rounded tops are mylar. a magnus lot i once bought arrived in such cases. at my home, we are thrilled for the reading set you have definitely decided on. :D as for the other half of the session, id like to put in my two cents hehe: x-men adventures#1, any jim shooter valiants, the pope john paul the second comic(im certainly aware this is a longshot, but what the hey?) and finally any of the crime or western comics from your most recent comic hauls, im not certain its an option, but the lash larue would be a fun read to behold haha. well,.happy reading and ty for the opportunity to speak up. peace
My pleasure, brother. I love the interaction and the opportunity to see what you would like read. You picked a fun read with X-men adventures. Any Shooter comic is always worth a read in my world so thanks for that. Pope John Paul is definitely going to be along shot but I thought it was worth putting it out there as well... I mean, why not. As for the recent buys, for sure they are an option since I haven't packed them away yet. I do tend to read a certain percentage of the comic hauls I get and I haven't done that yet. Would definitely be fun to read and put up videos of some of them. We see what the next few weeks of suggestions brings, my guess so far is that we'll have at least one crime comic in there and probably a western as well... fingers crossed. By the way, thank you for the feedback, good to know there is love out there for some of the buys I've been making :)
Hello Chycho my Friend! This is the first time i'm writing to you, normally i just watch your videos (quietly) :) First of all: please continue such amazing work! I really love your videos and i've watched every single one, from the last couple of months. You combine my love to Comics and ASMR, a perfect combination! Just love your content. Coming back to vote for the next reading, i want to vote for this books: - Ultimate Origins Issue 1 - HARDWARE Collections Edition (i think its Issue #1) - The Lobo Paramilitary, Christmas Special I wish you all the best and i hope, my english wasn't too bad (i am not native speaker, haha)! Take care and best wishes from germany, Marco
Thank you for the kind words, Marco. I will definitely continue to share as much as I can. This has now become a huge part of my life and I love it. As for your choices, nice selection. You're correct, the Hardware comic is issue #1, a very important historical piece actually... and no worries about your English, sounds perfect to me. Salutations from Canada, and thank you for the comment and the contribution. I appreciate the interaction very much. Peace :)
I recall in a previous video that you suggested you might be showing us your video game collection in a future video, I really hope that is the case, I'd be very interested to see what kind of games you play. Thanks for sharing your time with us, keep up the good work, Chycho!
Thanks, Ethan, and will do. As for the gaming video, yup, there will definitely be one coming up. I've gone through a lot of my boxes and have found games all over the place so I'm going to put them in some kind or order, probably based on date, and then we look. Found some gems, imho anyway, in the boxes... good times for sure :)
I really like your videos man! In some of the previous you mentioned about your video games collection. I love video games and ASMR about it, as many other people :D If I correct, you say that you will do something like that) And the answer - when? Thank you) and sorry about my English, I'm Russian)))))))
Russia! Cool!!... we're almost brother, I'm Armenian :) And you are correct, I will be doing a video showing you what I have. I just finished bring over all my boxes last week and have all the games in different boxes so I have to organize them in some kind of coherent fashion... probably going to show you my oldest ones first and we work our way up... they aren't in mint condition by any means but there is some cool history there, not to mention some awesome games. As for when I'll be able to get it done, within the next few weeks I would assume, probably before the end of June. Salutations from Canada.
Thanks, Dan. We'll be reading a lot of my choices over the years so I don't mind sharing my reads. I read, you watch, so why not have a 50-50 set. Makes it fun as well of course seeing what people would like read.
Oh man, love Bill Maxx Vox Pax. I've checked out some of his work in the past. One of the best 'asmr' (chill) creators around, so thank you for the complement. Looks like he hasn't put out anything in over a year now. Do we know why? Do you know if he plans on coming back?
No problem bro. You have a lot of interesting vids too. I have written him but no response.I I don't know if he will not come. Maybe you can write him about collaborating to do a math vid. He may resurface. He loves math as well as doing something new.. Ps I subscribed..
His love of math is one of the things that got me interested in him, as well as his kick ass beard and his demeanor and voice. Many things I guess :) ... and welcome to my channel, brother, its been a fun ride so far, hope you enjoy your stay.
Would love the Tankcommandos or any other war comic. And Conan. Is there any P.H. Lovecraft comic out there ? Thanks for the video, having a day off and relaxing to the max.
Nice, glad your day off is going well, what Sundays were made for.... A war comic would definitely be fun to read, I don't think I've uploaded a video of one yet. As for PH Lovecraft, for sure there is, I just can't remember when or where I've seen it, or who's done it... I don't have any in my collection though but would be a great pick for future buy and a reading.
+chycho Yes, there are a few. Got one myself, a few stories, drawn bij Erik Kriek, a Dutch artist. old.brokenfrontier.com/userfiles/images/columns/2012/04_april/kriek_lovecraft_05.jpg www.zone5300.nl/images/4776.jpg
+Pieter Kleij Very cool. I'll try and get my hands on some of them for the next reading set... need to do some research on my part. Thanks for the intro :)
@@chycho it's actually gotten to the point where between 9pm-8am this video is always the first one in my recommended. I'd suggest maybe putting ads at the very end of the video, because I listen to it multiple times a night (whenever I wake up in the middle of the night I replay it again) it wouldn't be intrusive and youd make a little more money!
Thank you for the suggestion, brother, but I'll leave it the way it is. I really don't want to interfere with anyone's experience, it just doesn't feel right to me. Appreciate it though. Peace :)
Ended up selling an x-men giant #1 for $500 out of the lot. Have a few more good issues up for sale now. I'm keeping the Daredevils and a few others. Was a great find.
So many choices. Here are my picks; Supergirl Uncle Scrooge AMZ Spider-Man 102 Mighty Mouse Man-Thing 1 Black Panther 1 Tomb of Dracula Flash 350 Forever People New Gods Planet of the Apes Archie Doom Patrol 26 Zap comix Great vid. Can't wait to see what the viewers will pick. Jen.
In my opinion your video on Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight has by far been my favourite so I hope you consider more Batman readings. V for Vendetta- Valerie's Letter was incredibly done, do you have any more whispering videos? I would love to see more in the future. Also, does an avid comic book fan such as yourself have any thoughts on the latest superhero films and TV shows released lately?
+Ethan Bell For sure Batman is getting lots of love and I'm pretty sure there will be one picked from these books. It took me some doing to put together Valarie's Letter, had never thought about creating whispering videos before but it fit for that read. Haven't done any more like that though, not yet anyway but if I come across something that it would work for then for sure we do again. As for the films and TV shows..... there are some gems that's for sure and there are also some serious misses. The best so far is from Netflix as far as TV goes... as for movies, many have been great the worst though would have to be Fantastic Four, that was extremely brutal... three for three, they're out.
Since you've mentioned the video game books Zelda & Mario, any chance we might read Turok? I'm a huge fan of the Turok: Dinosaur Hunter game. If not, either of Zelda or Mario would be fine as well :-)
+BlueKimahri If Turok gets the votes then for sure we read. Love the character and the world as well... actually found our N64 Turok game during my move... good times that's for sure :)
Actually most asmr Videos dont relax me, if it isnt about meditation or something like that, but your voice and appearance relax me, also I find the topic of your Videos interesting. :)
I would love to see some more batman if that's ok! I'm a huge batman fan but I can't actually go and buy any since there aren't any stores nearby :( so I really only see comics through RUclips (especially asmr)
+Attatsu Looks like there will definitely be a Batman read, we'll have to see which one gets the thumbs up from the comments and go with that. That said, people have just been saying Batman read so I might have to pick one from the ones seen here... if that's the case I think it will most likely be Batman: The Cult #1... fun read :)
Like that your into comics... so am I would you say your more marvel guy or DC ? I like both I'd say I gravitate to marvel more cause DC for me it's Batman and Robin but for Marvel it's Spiderman and Wolverine plus all of the X men and Iron Man and punisher. DEATH STROKE is cool too. I also like Hellboy but he isn't marvel or DC he is dark horse comics
For sure I've read a lot of Marvel and DC, love many of their characters, but I'm actually more of a Valiant guy, and I also read a lot of the other main publishers like Image, Dark Horse, Aftershock, Vault Comics, and the like. There is some amazing comics being put out outside of the DC and Marvel universes.
Thanks, Sam... as for 4001 AD, yup. Loved it. I read the X-O crossover as well and thought it was awesome, just wish it was longer. I picked up RAI today and the first thing I do tomorrow morning after breakfast is read it. Loving everything I've read from Valiant for a long time now.
+ThatVoodooThatIDoDo I'm with you on the Valiants. I think they are producing some of the greatest comics ever put out. So The fall of Harbinger would be the pick from here. I'm pretty sure you probably already know, but just in case, keep in mind I've already read Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer #1 to #4 .... #1 here: ruclips.net/video/j56PXrlmf3c/видео.html
+akou12 One positive side of not having your books organized is that sometimes you end up going through a few boxes before you find what you were looking for. That repetition sort of helps. Also keep in mind that I am wrong about certain issues and characters at times, just the nature of memory I guess.
For sure, it's one of the great indie comic books of all time. Wish I had the early single issues. I've only indulged in the trades. One day, and if/when i get my hands on #1, the reading it will be part of the video series :)
it would be great if you could maybe set aside the horror books, even the silly ones like at 6:02 and maybe do a few readings of those during October/halloween? I'm persoanlly curious to see that Uncle Scrooge book at like 4:55. Also really curious about Spider Man #40 (9:37), or any early book that deals with Green Goblin or Dr. Doom, two of my fav villains.
+air two That's a great idea regarding the horror books. Maybe I'll pull out my EC horror books from the frames and include those as well. I'll keep this in mind for sure, thanks. And you thank for the picks, with just a few comments it looks like Spider-Man will definitely be in there :)
Man, I recently found my copy of Uncanny X-men #350 that I purchased from a Baltimore comic shop when I was a kid, but it was in such bad shape that I had to discard it. :( Great memories seeing it here again though!
Thank you for doing these comic readings. I'd love to hear you do a reading of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol or Jack Kirby's New Gods. Thanks and peace.✌🏼
I really love those Charlton reads. Sometimes we all need a happy ending sci-fi story, wish there were more of them at the present actually. The book is now buried in one of my boxes somewhere but I'll keep an eye out for it on my next look through. Wouldn't mind reading it myself. As for the reading session, we're probably looking at mid-October. Fingers crossed :)
Great find. I've read the Killing Joke a couple of times, at least, and never connected all the hand symbolism, not to mention the rain drops. So obvious of Moore after seeing this but man, so subtle as well. Sometimes we just have to read an Alan Moore comic for a few years and multiple times to understand the story. Thanks for this, now I might have to read it again :)
So far I believe we have three requests for Zelda, it's looking promising... as for Lobo, one of the greatest reads ever. I've read that series more than any other comic I have.
Just a nickname i picked up a long long time ago... I've been told that it does have meaning in certain languages though, one of them is "Uncle" I think.
Oh no I forgot to leave my yearly comment for 2022 😂 This one will have to cover last year and this one :P almost at 100k views it'll be there by 2024 😎
I could easily pick 50 or more books from this video! Ok, and here are my some of my favorites for your kind consideration :-) 1. DOOM PATROL #26 2. EC's Psychoanalysis 3. Flash Vol. 1 #281 (Prof. Zoom) 4. Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders (Rooseveltis an incredibly fascinating personality but of course he was a person of his time and some or even most of his political views may not be sympathetic to 21st century sensibilities...) 5. The Creeper #1 (because of Steve Ditko) 6. Supergirl 1 7. Amazing Spider-Man...maybe #40? 8. Squadron Supreme #1 (Mark Gruenwald's series seems to be very underrated and I like it very much -- although it's in many respects much more conventional than the visionary Watchmen) 9. Joe Sacco...maybe another issue of Palestine? 10. Plop (those covers are indeed fascinating!) /// To complicate matters even more, I'd like to already make recommendations for reading set #5. I'll be brief, just bear with me :-) A) "Concrete" by Paul Chadwick is a most unusual and wonderful series B) "Age of Bronze" by Eric Shanower retells the Trojan War (unfortunately, AoB -- which is nominally still ongoing -- has been on hiatus for a couple of years) I think both A & B would be worthwhile collecting in single-issue format... C) Green Lantern/Green Arrow by Denny O'Neil & Neal Adams would be appreciated, too. Maybe #76 with the famous "Answer me that, Mr. Green Lantern" panel?
Awesome choices, FrF. I was actually waiting to see what you would pick. This will be an amazing reading set if at least half those get picked/voted up. The diversity and the talent I think is a true showcase of what comics represent. So far based on the votes, looks like Teddy Roosevelt and AMS #40 will probably be two of the reads... and as you know, I got my fingers crossed for Doom Patrol 26 :) And thanks for the recommendations for the next set. I hadn't heard of Age of Bronze - I'm not familiar with Eric Shanower's work, looks like I should be :) ... as for Green Lantern/Arrow #76, unfortunately I don't have that in my collections and i'll probably have to save for a few months before I can buy a low grade, I better start saving now :) By the way, I wanted to thank you for the link you provided a few weeks ago with the Jim Shooter interview. I just finished part 1 and WOW! What an awesome interview. Thank you for that. I think it should be mandatory reading for anyone interested in the history of comics. Still blows my mind that Shooter is not recognized as one of the top 5 greatest comic book creators of all time. Too bad he got caught up in all the politics... what a story he has, I would love to watch a movie of his life.
+chycho Glad to be of service! "Age of Bronze" is a diligently researched and drawn comic. Hal Foster must have been one stylistic reference point for Eric Shanower. I re-read Green Lantern/Green Arrow #76 yesterday. Neal Adams' art must have breen breathtaking for readers in 70s. It's my impression that the importance of the Adams & O'Neil run has been somewhat diminished in some critics' opinion because it is considered naive -- which may be true; the rotund, cigar-chomping grotesquely unscrupulous real-estate mogul of #76 isn't a terribly subtle portrayal. And sometimes Denny O'Neil's prose made me smile, for example when he writes lines like "the enraged hero's rock-hard fist is about to descend into Jubal Slade's [this is the capitalist villain] pastry-soft face". But there are also very well-written, even moving passages and my sympathies are firmly in favour of this ground-breaking series. -- Oh yes, Reading Set #4 is already looking VERY exciting, chycho :-)
No I don't. That was a period where I had just started taking a hiatus from buying comics so I missed it. Guess I better add it to my chase/to get list :)
Thanks, brother, it's definitely a pleasure sharing it, that's for sure.... and I'll count this as a vote for Samurai Jack... it's a good read, short but good, especially for those of us that loved the animation.
+Sam Wallace I have a couple hanging around but the earliest I have I think is #7. I didn't pull them out of the boxes though. Maybe for the next set i'll dig up one or two.
The "Scrooge and Donald Duck" and "Crime Does Not Pay" books would make good reads. You have a lot to choose from though, lol. Good books, good ASMR. Keep it up chycho.
Do you have any interest in movies, especially superhero movies? If so, what are your thoughts about them in general? Do you think Disney is doing justice to the Marvel superheroes?
For sure i'm watching the movies. As for how they are, I've been enjoying most of them. The best so far though are the Netflix series. Those are the ones that have been brilliant and what I look forward to the most.
+dalboyz2132 Just with a few comments, looks like Spider-man will definitely be one of the reads, question is which issue will be the one voted up... so far #40 is getting some love.
Totally agree, what a great character, and we're definitely going to be reading Marvel Preview #2, the first solo Punisher story that I showed in the previous video. Should be a fun read :)
+TheRunescapeYT My money is on this being upvoted and X-men 266 being on the list... fingers crossed, but if it's not I will definitely include it in the next set. Must be done :)
Another year down and another few hundred views under my belt. I had to download this video in case Censor Tube decided one day it was hate speech or that it was filled with misinformation because surely superheroes aren't real! You'll hear from me again in 2022 😎 Edit: I just noticed you uploaded this video onto other platforms, but it'll still be good to have if the internet ever collapses 😂
You never know what they will be doing next, pulling the plug on the net is a possibility, unfortunately, so please feel free to download which ever video, or all of them, if you like. I do this for sharing and you do me honor for downloading it. Lots of love :)

I keep coming back to this video. This is your magnum opus when it comes to ASMR. It's been years but this one still does it for me best!

+Hey Arnold Cool. I have some amazing memories of summer time reads as well, very cool that this vid seems to trigger that sensation. Fun :)

Lots of love right back, Arcanecide. Peace :)
I like the art but have no idea about comics but these videos are so peaceful.
You are the Bob Ross of comics I hope you take that as a compliment.
Huge complement, brother, thank you. Love Gambit as well, and probably have an extra copy somewhere, but it's buried in one of the boxes, would take a lot of work to find, unfortunately.

... and a great pick for a read.
The way you say “ok” melts my mind into a happy ball of serene, relaxation.
You are absolutely not wrong
Holy shit this post is extremely correct.
I like that you frame them instead of getting them graded in those plastic tombs. I have a few I framed also
Plastic tomb is the perfect description for the slabs. Out of 15,000 plus books I have, I think I only have 9 or 10 graded, and those I acquired in the last 3 years or so in my 30 years of collecting. Something beautiful about being able to pull out any book from a collection and actually read it :)

hello chycho. i didnt see this whole video yet, as i honestly found myself very sleepy around the one hr mark. a credit to your mellow manner. ty for settling that those comic sleeves w the rounded tops are mylar. a magnus lot i once bought arrived in such cases. at my home, we are thrilled for the reading set you have definitely decided on.
Coming back to vote for the next reading, i want to vote for this books:
- Ultimate Origins Issue 1
- HARDWARE Collections Edition (i think its Issue #1)
- The Lobo Paramilitary, Christmas Special
I wish you all the best and i hope, my english wasn't too bad (i am not native speaker, haha)!
Take care and best wishes from germany,
Marco
Thank you for the kind words, Marco. I will definitely continue to share as much as I can. This has now become a huge part of my life and I love it.
As for your choices, nice selection. You're correct, the Hardware comic is issue #1, a very important historical piece actually... and no worries about your English, sounds perfect to me.
Salutations from Canada, and thank you for the comment and the contribution. I appreciate the interaction very much. Peace :)
I'm all for either Divinity, OR Fall of Harbinger. if not both... anything to have more new valiant exposure. plus, both are awesome stories.
Cool, noted :)
Love your videos man! As for my suggestion, I'd really like to see some Star Wars reading. Keep up the amazing work!
+dragonperson72 Will do, brother, and thanks for the pick.
Found some gems, imho anyway, in the boxes... good times for sure :)
cheers, i cant wait!
I really like your videos man! In some of the previous you mentioned about your video games collection. I love video games and ASMR about it, as many other people :D If I correct, you say that you will do something like that) And the answer - when? Thank you) and sorry about my English, I'm Russian)))))))
Russia! Cool!!... we're almost brother, I'm Armenian :)
And you are correct, I will be doing a video showing you what I have.
Salutations from Canada.
read what ever u want to ,what makes u happy, u take ur time to make these vids for us , and I appreciate it , so I want u to choose
Thanks, Dan. We'll be reading a lot of my choices over the years so I don't mind sharing my reads. I read, you watch, so why not have a 50-50 set. Makes it fun as well of course seeing what people would like read.
Wow..You have the awesome throwback comics that I forget.. You remind me of Bill Maxx Vox Pax..
Many things I guess :)
... and welcome to my channel, brother, its been a fun ride so far, hope you enjoy your stay.
I really like your Spectre comic I have been wanting that. Very nice book and books.
Thanks, I actually haven't read it yet, just flipped through it. It's a heavy read, lots of text.
Got one myself, a few stories, drawn bij Erik Kriek, a Dutch artist. old.brokenfrontier.com/userfiles/images/columns/2012/04_april/kriek_lovecraft_05.jpg
www.zone5300.nl/images/4776.jpg
+Pieter Kleij Very cool. I'll try and get my hands on some of them for the next reading set... need to do some research on my part. Thanks for the intro :)
Just here to leave my yearly comment about this being my main sleeping video. I swear this video is going to get to 100k views by my hand alone
Awesome! ... and I hope you have 100,000 amazing nights :)
Peace :)
Hello Chycho! Great video as always! I love it!
My picks are AMZ Spiderman 122 , New Gods#1!
Anyway, I hope you're doing well. Bye!
Thanks for the input, Manny. Great picks! .... as for me, things are going pretty good, thank you :)
Going to go pickup 552 comic lot with x-men giant 1 and a lot of decent 70's comics. I've seen a lot of them in your videos or recent purchases :)
Nice buy. Can't go wrong with that :)
Ended up selling an x-men giant #1 for $500 out of the lot. Have a few more good issues up for sale now. I'm keeping the Daredevils and a few others. Was a great find.
Nice sell. Always okay to recoup some of the cost of books so that you can buy more :)
This is great! Thanks for sharing your collection.
You're very welcome, Daniel. Peace :)
So many choices. Here are my picks;
Supergirl
Uncle Scrooge
AMZ Spider-Man 102
Mighty Mouse
Man-Thing 1
Black Panther 1
Tomb of Dracula
Flash 350
Forever People
New Gods
Planet of the Apes
Archie
Doom Patrol 26
Zap comix
Great vid. Can't wait to see what the viewers will pick.
Jen.
Thanks for the list, Jen, some great choices... as for seeing what viewers will pick, me too... super interested in this, fun so far :)
Is it too late to vote for New Gods, First app of Dark Seid?
haha... i think that's one of the ones we are going to read :)
Marvel spotlight 5 was a great 👍 📚 read
Hi,
Just wondering, will you be picking up the new up coming "Cage" series by the creator of "Samurai Jack"?
Most definitely and it will now be the only Marvel book in my pull list.
Ren and Stimpy !!
+Pieter Kleij :))
The best so far is from Netflix as far as TV goes... as for movies, many have been great the worst though would have to be Fantastic Four, that was extremely brutal... three for three, they're out.
hahaha i agree with Fantastic Four.
And the Netflix series are great I'm about to watch Daredevil Season 2 soon.
Keep up the good work, all the best.
Will do, brother.... and I hope you enjoy Season 2, probably love it :)
I listen to u every night, u relax me and send me to sleep , ur spot on , thanks
You're very welcome, Dan... and I hope you end up having sweet dreams as well :)
I'd also be happy with anything Punisher related :)
love the punisher to you've got me divided
Since you've mentioned the video game books Zelda & Mario, any chance we might read Turok? I'm a huge fan of the Turok: Dinosaur Hunter game. If not, either of Zelda or Mario would be fine as well :-)
+BlueKimahri If Turok gets the votes then for sure we read. Love the character and the world as well... actually found our N64 Turok game during my move... good times that's for sure :)
+chycho Nice! I didn't even notice that you showed Turok because I was listening to this video in the background for relaxation, my bad :)
Actually most asmr Videos dont relax me, if it isnt about meditation or something like that, but your voice and appearance relax me, also I find the topic of your Videos interesting. :)
Cool :)
agreed
Watchmen would be great...or a Swamp Thing reading. Either would be cool. 😊
That said, people have just been saying Batman read so I might have to pick one from the ones seen here... if that's the case I think it will most likely be Batman: The Cult #1... fun read :)
+chycho yay :)
There is some amazing comics being put out outside of the DC and Marvel universes.
chycho I never heard of valiant or aftershock or vault comics
You should check them out, they put out pretty awesome books.
Do you have any Authority or Midnighter? I'd love to see those.
No, unfortunately I don't. Something to look forward to getting, can't go wrong with Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch.
Hey Chycho! Have you read 4001AD #1 yet? It's an amazing read and I thought the art was astounding. Loving the videos by the way!! :)
I would love to see any of the book of death series! The valiant stuff is so cool!
#1 here: ruclips.net/video/j56PXrlmf3c/видео.html
how in the world do you keep track of all these issues? with so many, how do you know you have already bought a particular issue?
+akou12 One positive side of not having your books organized is that sometimes you end up going through a few boxes before you find what you were looking for. That repetition sort of helps. Also keep in mind that I am wrong about certain issues and characters at times, just the nature of memory I guess.
i do recommend "Love & Rockets" comicbook collection. it is amazing!
Most definitely, Love and Rockets is fantastic. Highly recommend this as well.
yeah. I am so glad you like 'Love & Rockets' (no superheroes but awesome and delicious reading experience) great times!
What do you keep looking at starting at 1:10:35? I just was wondering
Man, I recently found my copy of Uncanny X-men #350 that I purchased from a Baltimore comic shop when I was a kid, but it was in such bad shape that I had to discard it. :( Great memories seeing it here again though!
Read more Valiant - both modern and classic 90s stuff!
+Zactar oh I definitely plan on it :)
Thank you for doing these comic readings. I'd love to hear you do a reading of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol or Jack Kirby's New Gods. Thanks and peace.✌🏼
Nice picks. Noted :)
Excalibur, mos def
please read the zelda comic! really curious whats it about...
just wondering when you will be doing the readings people have requested?
I'll probably start this in October.
+chycho xmen 213 wolverine VS sabertooth plz plz plz :):)
That will be a great read. Fingers crossed it gets some love.
I'd love a read of lobo the last tzarnian also maybe the Zelda comic would be cool thanks
So far I believe we have three requests for Zelda, it's looking promising... as for Lobo, one of the greatest reads ever. I've read that series more than any other comic I have.
What does Chycho means?? Thanks
Just a nickname i picked up a long long time ago... I've been told that it does have meaning in certain languages though, one of them is "Uncle" I think.
You should check out Grizzly Shark, Image. The best, funniest, new comic I've read in a while. Please, please, please read Grizzly Shark #1.
+Tony Q I hadn't seen this. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll see if I can track it down.
Oh no I forgot to leave my yearly comment for 2022 😂
This one will have to cover last year and this one :P almost at 100k views it'll be there by 2024 😎
🥳🥳🥳
Is that "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance" up there?
+oboeguy2000 Pretty sure it is :)
Super cool!
I would love to see some silver age Hulk comics read.
+Scott Pettinger Cool, so Hulk vs. The Inhumans would work. Would be a very nice read.
+chycho Works for me! I look forward to it. Keep up the fantastic work!
So far based on the votes, looks like Teddy Roosevelt and AMS #40 will probably be two of the reads... and as you know, I got my fingers crossed for Doom Patrol 26 :)
And thanks for the recommendations for the next set. I hadn't heard of Age of Bronze - I'm not familiar with Eric Shanower's work, looks like I should be :) ... as for Green Lantern/Arrow #76, unfortunately I don't have that in my collections and i'll probably have to save for a few months before I can buy a low grade, I better start saving now :)
By the way, I wanted to thank you for the link you provided a few weeks ago with the Jim Shooter interview.
+FrF oh ya, and Concrete, I can't believe I haven't included it yet in the readings. Thanks for the reminder.
Batman - the Cult
Do you have the first apperance of Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern?, he's my favorite Green Lantern
No I don't. That was a period where I had just started taking a hiatus from buying comics so I missed it. Guess I better add it to my chase/to get list :)
Ah no problem, love your videos by the way, absolutely mesmerized by your collection. Would love to see you read some Samurai Jack :)
Thanks, brother, it's definitely a pleasure sharing it, that's for sure.... and I'll count this as a vote for Samurai Jack... it's a good read, short but good, especially for those of us that loved the animation.
I never got to read X-Men 375 be great to see what happens to wolverine after death kills him
that it would :)
Have you got any early TMNT?
+Sam Wallace I have a couple hanging around but the earliest I have I think is #7. I didn't pull them out of the boxes though. Maybe for the next set i'll dig up one or two.
Also any Batman or spiderman
Looks like there will definitely be one of each, that's for sure.
Fittingly, when chycho shows EC's "Psychoanalysis" (ca. 15:30), he has a Freudian slip and says " Psychonauts" :-)
lol... I realized what I had said while editing, damn Freud :)
The "Scrooge and Donald Duck" and "Crime Does Not Pay" books would make good reads. You have a lot to choose from though, lol.
Good books, good ASMR. Keep it up chycho.
+Junpei Iori Will do, brother, and thanks for the recommendations, they would definitely make good reads.
Those are the ones that have been brilliant and what I look forward to the most.
big shout out from dublin ireland!
Hello Dublin, lots of love right back from the west coast of Canada. I was in Dublin in 1998, love your city :)
Do you have any classic xmen comics?
Like Uncanny X-Men, For sure.
You should read X-men fatal attractions with Wolverine #5? I think it is 5 that ties into the bone claws
+Alan Mail Don't think I pulled those books out for this set :(
That is a REALLY iconic set of books, I think in terms of getting your channel some views, people love Wolverine!!!
love the hulk ever since I first was interdouced in 1980 bill Bixby and Louis will always be banner and hulk
Love this guy, Topman.
《Deadpool 1997 issue 1 Collector's issue is a great comic book》uWu
Comics!!!!
Could you possibly do a video with some spider-man comics?
+dalboyz2132 Just with a few comments, looks like Spider-man will definitely be one of the reads, question is which issue will be the one voted up... so far #40 is getting some love.
any punisher read is a good read what a character
Totally agree, what a great character, and we're definitely going to be reading Marvel Preview #2, the first solo Punisher story that I showed in the previous video. Should be a fun read :)
xman 266 would be also a good pick gambit is one of my old favs loved him in the original tv cartoon haha
haha... that it would be, love Gambit as well :)
I say samurai jack and ren & stimpy
I dig this!
Any of the Amazing Spider-mans!
+ironspiderman100 Looks like Amazing Spider-mans #40 will be the read, not bad :)
+chycho Oh good! I have never actually seen inside of any of the spider-mans you showed. Can't wait for the video!
+ironspiderman100 Cool! Some of the ASM reads are absolutely amazing and #40, if I recall correctly, is one of them. Should be fun, that's for sure :)
I don't care what u read lol , but I prefer either valiant or marvel
+Dan Thomas :)
X-MEN #266, please! Gambit is my favorite X-Member. :D
+TheRunescapeYT My money is on this being upvoted and X-men 266 being on the list... fingers crossed, but if it's not I will definitely include it in the next set. Must be done :)
+chycho You're the man! I'm so sad it took me so long to find your content. You're the best!
+TheRunescapeYT No worries, brother, and welcome to my channel :)
id be more than happy with any gaming comics
+Ian Pizer Cool, me too actually. Historical and fun, can't go wrong with that.
Doom Patrol #1 please
I meant to say #19 I think. The first Grant Morrison one anyway :)
It's a great pick :)
Another year down and another few hundred views under my belt. I had to download this video in case Censor Tube decided one day it was hate speech or that it was filled with misinformation because surely superheroes aren't real!
You'll hear from me again in 2022 😎
Edit: I just noticed you uploaded this video onto other platforms, but it'll still be good to have if the internet ever collapses 😂
You never know what they will be doing next, pulling the plug on the net is a possibility, unfortunately, so please feel free to download which ever video, or all of them, if you like. I do this for sharing and you do me honor for downloading it. Lots of love :)
Spider man! Which one? doesn't matter
Harbinger 1
V for Vendetta #1
please read batman 221!
I don't think that issue was in this selection. Was it?
first gambit appearance
I like this :)
