They definitely don't make toys as intricate as these anymore. I had this video on a disk and both ships. Lotsa nostalgia.
They definitely do still make toys like this, kids just prefer to play video games now.

I used to play with this when I was 4. I'm 18 now, and I randomly remembered the skeleton crew song. I just searched it on RUclips hoping to find it, and here I am. The internet is amazing

NOSTALGIA MELTDOWN. When I was young, I worshiped this. I watched it time again each day. I memorized it. I still can remember most of the dialogues entirely today, even while watching it just now!

I love how their idea of enjoying the treasure is to just hang out around it and look at it. Don’t spend it just have a party with eachother on the boat.

These LEGO sets combined with Pirates of Caribbean films coming out in the early 2000’s was truly something special ❤️❤️😭
genuinely the best toy franchise out there, just for mobility alone! the detail, the stories though, such an incredible amount of fun. I came back because Sea of Thieves has brought me so close to the adult version of this, its such genuine fun
This & Dragons, Fire and Ice were the best memories of my childhood. I remember I had both the Skelton & Pirate ships and most the mini figs. Now, they are all scatted about my basement, lol. They used to come in little skulls with clear plastic eyes that would hold the figures. I loved these, and the nostalgia from this video is immense, though, looking back at it, this was pretty much the same as the Pirates of The Carribean story line

When I was 8, I almost had the complete sets. Smuggler's Fort, Dreadeye's Phantom, Stormstalker, Maroon Galley, Mutiny Isle, Cover Trap, and the pouches.

I still wish that Mega Bloks would have released Bluebeard's Avenger, I absolutely covet that set. It's so perfect to me. I'm very big into the classic maritime theme. Also this series was very original and creative. This is when Mega Bloks had creativity of their own.

I used to adore this when I was a kid. Once I had one set, I fell in love with it and begged my parents to get the entire unit. Now that I’m an adult, the video that goes with this is a really good tragedy story. It’s a cautionary tale of what happens when greed gets the better of you.

I have a grand total of 12 pirate ship sets, I had the complete collection of the mega bloks pirates. The LEGO pirates were great too but mega blok had the better pirates... Watching it now I know it was 100% nostalgia that made me enjoy it even at this age but pirates, staying with my until death I am a true lover of all things piratical. Unless it's done poorly >.>
