He started walking instead of waiting 2 hours for the bus. Then seems to have come from the road before he called his friend. Probably trying to get down quicker and got lost in the terrain and the fact he'd been on drink/drugs/dehydrated sounds a recipe for disaster foe the lad

Why now that local mayor decided to say it all. Why didn't he call the police to say he thinks that the young teenager is actually watching Euro such and such place. It looked like for them "I am not interested" by then why after so many days he came forward. How can it help now. Family and friends of missing people do it all the time. It's usually to help pay for rescue teams, sometimes it can be used for ransom or award money too. People having tp take time off work too as not all jobs can be so forgiving.
Gofundmes are a newer concept but communities coming together and raising money for missing people and their families has always existed. Just a new way of doing it.
