Kimono is a comfortable and beautiful robe. But most likely it is not suitable for homework. This robe is purely for relaxing when everything is done, the dishes are washed, the food is cooked, everything is tidied up. The robe is loose-fitting and pleasantly cools the body.
Recently, I have come across photos of this robe, where it is presented as a formal dress. If you complement it with beautiful accessories, a wide belt and high-heeled shoes, then the kimono will look completely different, like a stylish outfit.
It is very easy to sew such a robe. Cut without darts or complex armholes. Only rectangles at the base.
I sewed myself a robe from thick linen, which I inherited. And the style is a little different from the usual one.
A distinctive feature is that there are no side seams; the robe is sewn from a whole piece of fabric 1.40 cm wide. I have a seam because the fabric is narrow.
How to sew:
- The fabric is rolled and cut into a piece, 1.25 m long. This is the length of the product, which can be shorter or longer.
- Where there are open edges, measure 10 cm from the top to the right and 50 cm from the bottom. Connect the dots; this is the neckline of the robe.
- Where there is a fold in the fabric, measure 10 cm to the left, 3 cm down, connect the dots, this is the back cutout. Cut along the drawn lines.
- Open the fabric and fold the edges towards the middle, matching the neckline of the back and front.
This way the side seams are rolled up and seamless without a seam.
- Now we measure 23 cm down the sides, the sleeves will be sewn there, and we make cuts.
- Sew the shoulder seams.
- Cut two strips according to the width of the fabric, 10 cm wide, 140 cm long, sew and fold. This is a facing.
- We attach it to the robe.
- I finished the cut with bias tape.
- For the sleeves you need two squares 50x50 cm.
- We sew them together and sew them in a circle into a straight armhole.
- Hemmed the bottom of the sleeves and the bottom of the robe.
- Belt.
- I sewed the robe without a single fitting, everything fit perfectly. This style will fit many sizes. The main thing is to take into account that the girth of the robe is approximately 140 cm, that is, the girth of the hips should be less than this value.
With a fabric width of 1.40 m it is approximately 2.10 -2.20 m.
2) I took a sheet and sewed an elegant summer kimono robe. Easy to cut and quick to sew. Fits any size.
For work you will need any light cotton material. It dries quickly and absorbs moisture well. I took a sheet that we don’t use and finally found a use for it.
It is easy to sew such a thing, as it is simple and quick to process. This style can be adjusted to any shape and size. The pattern is based on rectangles. There are no darts and this greatly simplifies the task for those who are taking up sewing for the first time. The drawing is done directly on the canvas.
You don't need to sew the shoulder seams, just fold the fabric and make it without seams.
It is better to make the sleeves shorter, mine are 20 cm.
Stages of work:
- I attached the sleeves to the shelves, and swept the seams.
- I made stitches along the side seams and sleeves.
- To treat the smell, I took calico of a different color. I cut strips on the bias, 10 cm wide, joined them together, folded them in half, ironed them and stitched them to the robe.
- I swept the cuts. I made a straight stitch on the front side.
I finished the edges of the sleeves this way.
- Hemmed the bottom of the product.
- For the belt, I cut out a strip 10 cm wide, folded it in half, stitched it and turned it inside out.
If the fabric allows, you can immediately make a one-piece pattern, that is, the front and sleeves are cut without seams.
Ready!

То что надо! На зелёном халатике , на спине неплохо будет смотреться незатейливая аппликация. По предыдущей публикации пошива халата - сшила не отходя от кассы сразу два , шила на дачу … но передумала и оставила их для дома! А так же по той же выкройке из пледа - толстый халат на дачу! Сейчас руки чешутся сотворить по этой выкройке что нибудь оригинальное, вот только задалась вопросом - а не много ли мне халатов будет?Спасибо за новые идеи!

Зачем подносить линейку к камере, если размеры есть в описании? Камера все равно не успевает сфокусироваться, все размыто.
Идеи может и хорошие, только вот объяснение никудышное. Размеры на линейках вообще не видны, что к чему пришивает тоже непонятно, скорость-как будто кто то гонится. Лучше бы сделали два отдельных видео-помедленнее и поподробнее. А халатики отличные получились.
