This is an outstanding tutorial on OneDrive. It is my go to video if I need a reminder on how to work with OneDrive. It clearly explains how to manage files and folders on both the desktop and cloud and how to sync and share them. The quality of the explanations, audio and video are excellent. I would rate it a perfect tutorial.
So correct me if I’m wrong but it seems that backup moves the files to cloud instead of copying them. If this is true then the term ‘backup’ is being used incorrectly. Yes?
This is a very good video, especially for those people who have one drive but dont know how to use it, like me. Im in the process of cleaning up my files, folders physically on my laptop (pre onedrive). I can see one drive folder too. I would like to remove the laptop version to ensure I dont have too many copies of the same thing. I am concerned for deleting them. Should I move them to one drive and once complete, then decide which ones I want to make available locally?
It's great that you're organizing your files! Yes, you can move your files to OneDrive first. Once they’re uploaded, you can decide which files to keep available locally on your laptop by right-clicking and selecting "Free up space" for files you don’t need offline.
The first 80 percent of the video was fairly clear. The last 20 percent I found to be confusing and incomplete. For example, when selecting folders (and files) to not be sync-ed to the cloud, you say they won't won't show up in File Explorer. I immediately thought that this meant that the files are, essentially, deleted from One Drive AND my local device (my PC). OneDrive functionality is additionally confusing since, for example, Libraries like Desktop and Documents can show up in three or four places in File Explorer when I'm on my PC. VERY Confusing!!!!!!

I store my music files on a USB stick, One Drive, and pCloud because I think they'll be safe there.
