@@nexialist.3486 of course😊
The content is great. He just needs to work on a few areas of his content, that being his speech proformances
Dang straight.
Thats not stutter lmao
It was never taken out of Half-Life, it can be heard in one of the uprising levels in a building at a collapsed area. Investigating the sound you will see a TV, with Gman on it, on a boat, in the ocean, with a crow on his shoulder, once you look at it for roughly 1 and a half seconds the screen will turn off and the distorted trumpets will shut off. If you don't look at the screen the song will play fully. It's still in the game.
I'll take a look at it soon!
Aurora Borealis. At this time of day, in this side- Im just messing around, but that might mean something lore-wise.
The Crows are his eyes and ears
In what map does the distorted trumpets sounds, I've playede Half life 2, but never heard that sound before
I literraly heard that today on my first playtrough. I heard it in the uprising part for a split seccond and got creeped out, but i remembered its just a hl2 soundtrack. First time i heard it on some creepypasta. (Sorry for bad spelling i think)
i like to think it’s alyx communicating to gordon while in stasis.
That would be cool
thats what me and my friend Dr.Coomer we're thinking while reviewing the video
@@SolarThemedDance it's literally just the name of one of the scientists in half-life tho
If they use this will be epic
I think i heard another theory was like that the radio is rebels trying to communicate to others that gordon was dead since gordon and alyx did disappear for 2 weeks.
I always just assumed it was like a "post collapse Soviet union" ambience sound, which City 17 kind of reminded me. Like a kind of Stalker Vibe.
It reminds me the aftermath of battle of stalingrad
It is set in Eastern Europe
Isn't Half-Life set in Russia or somewhere in Eastern Europe anyway?
So that means hl 1 is set in new Mexico usa and hl2 is set in eastern Europe/russia
@soft_dicc but is it russian or is it some other slavic language
Maybe when Gordon was a kid, he heard this song on his favorite show, but sounded more kid friendly
Uhhh yeah but still scary
I really like this idea.
It could be the radio from hl2 beta!!!
More than likely not
the fact that burzum is playing in the background makes this video so much better
I was like 😑😐🙂
I think the radio is Gman’s signal. I believe that Gman can distort radio waves whenever he is near. He has also been seen interrupting broadcasts on television, so I do think he’s responsible for the radio
thats a great way to see, holy shit. its like an intereference from a vortigaunt emitting energy

@@nexialist.3486 compliment!
@@nexialist.3486 It's very funny.
Could be both
It’s charming, kinda cute.
I think what's so creepy about it is the fact it's made up of recognisable sounds, and the sounds I recognise in it is when you just get off of the train at the start of the game, Breen is talking, the flying things are flying, and there's an ambient track, but it's all distorted but just enough that you can kinda know what it is but also enough to not know, which makes your brain just flip it's shit and freak out.
Like pareidolia. Your brain tries to make out patterns in a sea of static and meaningless noise... at least, that's what it is in the end. Still a very interedting topic!

Simple aspects such as the trumpets and the proposition that they represent the echos of pre invasion earth life is why this game hits so hard even after all this time.
I think it kinda makes sense that it plays in city 17 with the message "Gordon they're all dead" as maybe a reminder of the past and after years as a lost signal which got distorted over time. Maybe G-Man made sure it stayed there.
my pc got bluescreened when i was watching this
Its ingame music! it plays when youre in destoryed building and there is a tv that plays distordet trumpets in that tv is gman standing next to a small wooden boat when you look at it it turns off its in the chapter where citizens fight combine
And the tv was unplugged to energy
Hey what about triage at dawn you can hear the distorted trumpets at 3:05 to 3:20 and 5:35 to around 5:50
I never knew Walter jr did half life videos.
open na nour
HL has always had horror elements and I love that
About the G-man:
as far as I understand the G-man on TV represents death, just like that! He's on a destroyed boat and has a crow (which are generally associated with an omen of death) on his shoulders and I believe (opinion) G-man is all about life and death: He can "nudge" things to convenient directions in time-space creating new timelines as showed in Hal Life: Alyx ( life-death cycles) so he's an observer but we know that since the first game PLUS that he WANTED Nihilanth off the way AND (implied) the combine to TAKE over the earth, so we don't need to count the newest canonical timelines powers that he has at Alyx VR.
About the Message:
Distorted sounds contrast death being the opposite of life and the distorted message is for curious people to find out obviously. Easter eggs aside the message alone can be seen as something like a cry out about the path he's taking (where the rebels get killed) and maybe a 4th wall break; an easter egg where the g-man either try to hide this message by making it backward for curious people OR just a representation of the "dimension" he's shown as that being the opposite as Gordon's, where everybody is dead and consequentially even the sound is distorted. Anyway, for a matter of an easy interpretation, it is undoubtedly a time-space reminder to creep the player and a direct message to Gordon to accomplish his mission OR
A "cynical" message from G-man since death will follow either passage Gordon takes as the G-man himself.
Considerations:
> G-man wanted Gordon to destroy the citadel, but he doesn't want the combine off earth as shown in Alyx VR, plus he said Gordon failed his task and hired Alyx in his place.
> I don't think that Alyx was seen as a plan B or somebody special as G-man said/implied at episode 2 where he "plucked" (he didn't mean to save her really) her from Black Mesa
> He did that because he knew that other races would intervene in the events of Gordon fighting/stopping the combine, he just lied straight face to Gordon so he could be even worried about his task of protecting Alyx in the white forest, maybe he saw the multiple occasions that could occur, and he did the same to Alyx - lied to manipulate her to kill the advisor and "hire" her instead.
> I do believe his employers (if they exist...) have interest in taking over the whole combine PERIOD (maybe Borealis tech as well but Borealis is not mentioned in HL2), so let's try to think Half-Life 2 as a single product with no future plot or game in mind: They had to take Breen off and I don't believe G-man employers ACTUALLY EXISTS and if they do, the G-man is the employee doing the job to protect his own reality with this tech, oh hell... maybe G-man is on the combine side after all and the portal tech from Aperture is the thing that gives him such abilities (despising he used the Borealis as a gun to destroy the whole combine at epistle 3, let's not forget is not canon anymore, now we face a whole new story after Alyx VR). So either G-man employers need that tech OR they need to destroy both tech and combine (if you count epistle 3) therefore with the citadel destroyed and a giant portal with the combine invading earth (as episode 2 shown was about to happen) the job would be facilitated anyway.
> At last, about the children laugh conversation I believe they are in the factory nearby (there is a factory exactly in the playground) as they couldn't show all the material they wanted in the game like combine drying out the oceans, slaving kids, and humanity degrading overall. If the laugh is a time-space gap that would be badass, but I hardly doubt that's Gordon's vision or something, I'm just thinking as a designer since I read their interview.
Well, that's all folks :)

Don’t listen to anyone putting you down for your stutter, you are super underrated
its alex warning gordon possibly from the void and the message that she's saying is ''Gordon they are all dead g man has taken over'' so she warns gordon that anything he does will do nothing
This song gives me nostalgia, scary nostalgia, even when im playing half life or not, its stuck in my head
It uses multiple samples from Ghost In The Machine by Zero-G, more specifically "Is That The Door?" and "Distorted Trumpets". Those samples have been used in other games as well, such as Postal and Max Payne.
no i have heard this in the game, towards the end of the game when you are raiding the city with the resistance or whatever there is a building you have to go into and a hall almost filled to the top in ruble, if you crawl on top of it you can find a radio playing it
It's in the same building you go into in the first level of the game, after coming from the playground.
I actually have a download of the release of Half Life 2 back in the days and still to this day whenever I’m in the campaign Anti citizen one I still hear the Distorted Trumpets from the radio and it gives me the chills.
It still plays in the game, after Dog jumps on the dropship, you’ll hear it. It comes from a TV in a nearby building, the TV shows a boat with G-Man on it. It stops after looking at the TV for.a second.
Is Distorted Trumpets not in Half Life 2 after release? I play on the Orange Box and still hear it.
For me it's " You hear me? Gordon is dead. "
hl1?
Combines ?
I really love to play half life 2 or 1 for now, but it is so hard right now that I only can remember the nostalgia and the distorted trumpets are one of the scariest memories in my mind.
It’s always the old games with eerie and strange Easter eggs..
What if Gordon got injured during half life while fighting g man and got into a coma and is dreaming about trying to kill g man but in the audio distorted trumpets saying gordan there all dead meaning g man killed a lot of people while Gordon is in a coma
wat
"every one is dead" "gorden is dead" "gorden can u hear me?" distorted trumpets half life backwards radio
Bro you're the first who could genuinely entertain me on yt in a long time
Really??? That means alot big time
It's just a sample from the sample pack the trumpets come from. It's a woman chanting gibberish.
In Christian mythology there’s an angle named Gabriel who’s supposed to play a horn when the world was going to end and I like to think it might be a reference to that
For me, when I heard the backwards version.
I think Alyx sending a message to Gordon while she's in the citadel,
or it's just hallucinating,
and maybe they hinting what will happen to Gordon in the 3rd sequel
Valve: Fuck no I won't make HL3
I love the video you put a lot of work into it it makes me happy to know even to this day people still love half life and it’s universe
The song can be heard inside a destroyed building near the beginning of Anticitizen One, a radio sitting on a bedside table, amidst some rubble. There, the distorted trumpets will play nonstop.
I just played it yesterday and actually found a tv playing the audio but it was over too soon so I couldn’t see it. Scared the shit out of me
This song made me hallucinate for a long time making me think that something is watching me. It was playing in my head for about a month straight, leaving me entirely scared of my life. It was just repeatedly playing well at school I did not feel right. I felt weird feeling it was just playing in my head.
Simply an ambiance from another fucking world. Amazing channel, hopefully you don't give up. The mini stutters don't even bother me in the video, amazing stuff
I ran out of ideas recently I'm tryna figure out WHAT content I can put out.
@@nexialist.3486 Start talking about what you like, I've been spinning around if I'd should start a channel and start making content, and don't know what to talk about, and i like portal, so I'd probably write an script on his story or why i like it so much.
I have shitty internet then i thought my video was lagging, dude keep it up!
if it were prerecorded they wouldn't be asking if you could hear them, because they'd get no response.
I mean they wont get answer from Gordon neither
Maybe the music makes Gordon hallucinate, and he hears his wife or something like that.
I always interpreted it as one of those air raid sirens, in which the distorted trumpets went off when the combine began their invasion of earth
radio1 file uses three samples from Zero-G - Cuckooland - Ghost in the Machine, these are:
- Distorted Trumpets
- Ooyayoolyah
- Is That the Door?
In the end like: Gordon, can you hear me ? They all dead, you hear me ? All dead. Gordon is dead.
No?
i have some research i finished half life but when your in the mission called " FOLLOW FREEMAN! " youll hear the exact same theme when gman is on a tv screen and tge tv cuts out this is a message that also will mean " Gordon you time is almist coming up. " but the time you finish up half life he will talk about the time and he apologizes for what who knows about this demonic message that sears threw the world.People mostly notices this from a meme and also i think i have the meaning that this was a WW1 message from germany maybe but when they heard it it came out that way thats all i know........
Just found the channel, nice to see that you didn't give up uploading even with all these comments about the stuttering
In the "ANTICITIZEN ONE" Chapter. If you go through one of the building and look at the storage room or the abandoned exit way? You will hear it I don't know why but when I played it on like MMod I heard it.
I've always just heard the voice as the overwatch voice
It's nice to see a fellow stutter doing RUclips stay strong
So is this game scary or what? Music is haunting, but the dialogues are so goofy
Fun physics puzzles, goofy dialogue, clunky AI... but at the same time set in a bleak dystopian near-future with many creepy, abandoned locations and mankind is enslaved and sterilized. Definitely has its spooky moments and scared the shit out of younger me many a time
Maybe this is from a universe where everyone died and alyx tries to contact gordan?

Holy crap. Use a period at least.
man, i stuttered for almost a decade, and it was way worse than yours. not that youre gonna do anything with this information but i got rid of it using the ''Del Ferro'' method. and yes, it actually works.
@DarkXSeries7 its a week just training the diaphragm (a muscle under your lungs which causes stuttering) its basically putting your hands on the lower part of your ribs and breathing in and speaking whilst breathing out. it sounds pretty simple but it isnt really, still i got rid of it so im happy that i did that.
bro, anyone who finished hl2 (dont even bother with eps), must got his ptsd respected, even more if u played as a kid, HL is tense and omnisious, but HL2 is HUGE and makes u feels like nothing, a nothing who everyone relies on to survive, dude the pressure
Hate to burst your guys bubble, but that's not a sound clip of Alyx speaking. It's a heavily distorted version of the song "Ooyayoolyah" from the Cuckooland album.
The album was (like the video says) made for sound designers to sample in their projects. The songs on the album can be found in a myriad of other games from the late 90s/mid 2000s, like Postal, Silent Hill, F.E.A.R., etc.
The entire album is on RUclips and people usually leave comments on like "this song plays in (this game) at (this location!)" It's an interesting rabbit hole just seeing how many games this album is linked to.
Yay another back lore trajma :D
personally i think ghost in the distorted trumpets in hl2 is the combine trying to contact the gman
Underrated
When you played the distorted trumpet backwards it was like the overwatch nexus saying the lines.
to me, the voice just sounds like some distorted lines from the overwatch
that is what I assumed so anyways
I also thought that distorted trumpets, just how it sounded in general, provided that vibe of the rebellion finnaly being underway
"A good friend dr coomer"
Look gordon! Ropes! We can use them to help with pits!
What ropes? I dont have any ropes dude
In half life 1 in freemans looker you can see a photo of a baby maybe its a masage from his wife trying to contact him telling him that everyone he knew is dead and she and her child are the only ones left and she was aware of the gman maybe gman is like a chutulu or how hes called where he apears to select people
firstly, half life two's entire combine-based story wasn't even a concept when writing half life 1, so the seven hour war wouldn't have been a thing both in universe and out. secondly, half life 2 takes place twenty years after the first game, so it chronologically makes no sense. thirdly, that is an ABSURD amount of reaching to correlate "picture of a baby" to "gordon has a wife that knows about the future and pre-emptively sent him a secret message"
Play distorted trumpets put in reverse , u will hear , freeman , do hear me , freeman / or/ gman, do u hear me,gman

Under title 17 wow what a coincidence
I find your stutter cute, dont worry about it, its alright
I think its just meant to be a sign of the losses while fighting the combine and the sadness or something
Good point didn't think of that
I always felt that g-man and gordan freeman are one in the same...just gordan in a timeline gains the knowledge of the universe and he gets fully "employed" then has to ensure he gets to this point...unfortunately on this path everyone whos helped is...well they are all dead...and hes getting informed through through a radio that everyone is dead and i feel that the distortion of the radio voice comes from interdimensional transmission interference.....
In the end i feel its either that and its the one thing gman heard before he went on this trek or its the soul of humanity breaking free from solidarity and the combine and now that freedom is scary sounding and uknown horrors lerk around every corner
Hey, I was replaying Halflife 2 a few months ago and heard this in a partly destroyed building in the remains of City 17. it showed Gman on a small TV screen tightening his tie like usual and it was playing this audio. I'm confused because when I got closer to the TV it got louder so that might be the source of the noise?
you can here the overwatch voise in the backround of the normal verison you can here the words local and trains and maybe apcs driving
Using Burzum Ambient totally surprised me! A good song choice.
6:31 could be woman telling gordon's family is dead, maybe...
Or it could be that a woman from borealis is calling him for help, map cut in original game
It's Alyx trying to contact Gordon from the Void she's been put in Half Life Alyx, i think we'll see it in the new Half life installment.
After HLALYX a lot of people think its alyx in the void trying to send gordon a message
I think is Alyx while she is in stasis, trying to talk with Gordon
Thank you for explaining ❤
Maybe its alyx trying to contact Gordan from another timeline. But gman doesnt want it to happen so he's making it unclear by putting some music on top of it
