I think it’s good for rupture. Burst damage and finish them off or move away if you don’t like the fight. Either way the other guys are hurting and his spacing is good enough to work up another attack. It’s like in boxing throwing a bunch of jabs, his “hook” is that rupture. He’ll kite and poke and “jab” you till he sees an opening

with your playstyle it would probably be better to run thrust instead of poision weapon, and weakpoint instead of rupture
