  • Huntsville, Alabama, also known as the "Rocket City," is a rapidly growing city famous for its contributions to space exploration and technology. It houses NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and the U.S. Army's Redstone Arsenal. Founded in 1805 as Twickenham, it was later renamed after its first settler, John Hunt.
The city has evolved from a cotton town into a hub for high-tech industries like aerospace, defense, and biotechnology. Huntsville's population growth has made it the largest city in Alabama, offering a high quality of life with excellent schools, diverse cultural experiences, and plenty of recreational opportunities. It's consistently ranked as one of the best places to live and work in the U.S., blending Southern charm with cutting-edge innovation.

My brother owns a home there and I have visited. I really enjoyed Huntsville. There are a lot hiking trails close by. I love the rolling hills. It reminds me of a small version of Atlanta.
