Bro this reel is built well. Its identical to the saragosa. The only issue I found was the body and side plate bearing not being sealed or shielded. Apart from that its a tank of a reel for the price.
Nice review, I have a 6k and 10k Spheros and they are my favorites. I prefer the Spheros over my Spinfishers because of infinity drive, so smooth. I would choose the Spinfisher if max drag is needed though, they are tanks.
I have never seen the complete technical details as you have presented in this video. Regards for you.I am from India and I just wants to know from you that, for baitcusting which real will be the better (spinning real only ) with heavy drag power and tuff in 5000/5500/6000 series.PL ADVICE.
Thank you for your support my friend. And in deciding which reel is best to choose all depends on your fishing techniques and they type of fish you're chasing. Both spinning and baitcasting/conventional play their own major roll in fishing.
@@somnathroy8142 all the reel you mention are great reels. The 2021 spheros isn't far different from the 2020 saragosa. The Penn reels are tanks. If you go through my videos you'll see I compare the spheros and saragosa and I did a tear down of the penn pursuit 4. Very good review and tear down sir. Much appreciated. The only reel at the price point that I think compares as far as value for saltwater abuse and water sealing is the Penn Spinfisher VI. How do you think they compare? Would love to hear your opinion
Thank you for the support. In terms of comparison I'd put this just under the saragosa which I think the slammer falls. So basically I'd say this is better than the spinfisher in terms of how it is sealed. This reel is actually sealed better than the spinfisher vi and slammer 3. But That doesn't take away the facts that penn are "tanks" in the reel world. I was very surprised at the penn pursuit 4 and how penn built it for being a entry sw reel. If you haven't check that video please do when you have some free time. If you're thinking about getting the spheros jump on it.
I got 3x of these for me and the kids. We took them stripper fishing and landed some large ones 30+ pounds without issue on the 4k size. Check my video to watch the drag ripping
I just saw that video. It's awesome. But the 4000 size and down of this model isn't quite the same. For the spheros sw 2021 you'll have to get from the 5000 upward. Still a great reel and yours got the job done perfectly.
I am from India and planning to purchase spheoros 6000 but little bit confused with actual line capacity. I want to know if 80lb(0.382mm dia) braid line of Sunline Siglon is spooled up on 6000 hg , how much line length it will get?
My 6000 spheros holds 300 yards of 30lb power pro. If you spool with 80lb I'm guessing it would hold around 100+ yards. All depends on how you spool it also. But if you wanna use heavy line get a bigger reel so it will hold more of tge heavier line.
The power pro 30lb is 0.28mm. The one you using is 0.38mm so you surly would fit less on the reel. Putting the 80lb on the 6000 reel would work but you'll have less line capacity and it will surly dent you casting distance.
@@tackleaddictgy it is written on the 6000 reel box that 50lb (0.36 mm) power pro braid line will hold 195 yards. Is it actually hold 195 yards of 50 lb power pro??
Hi , I have a small question will the spheros compete with diawa bg 8000? I was planning to get the sargosa 14k now but the price is a little more, so you say it's similar to sargosa all I want is something better then the diawa bg 8000 , thanks
Feel free to ask any question my friend. The shimano spheros is a way better choice over the daiwa bg. The spheros will even rival the penn spinfisher. I hope that will help you decide better. Please don't forget to smash that subscribe button.
@@tackleaddictgyThanks bru , what makes me doubt the reel is that the 14k has a 12kg drag and bg 8000 has a 15kg drag , so I'm little confused , I'm from south africa not much reviews this side on the reel, I'm also on a tight budget but also want a good reel that I'm able to fish for medium size sharks and large edibles on a tight budget but also want a good reel that I'm able to fish for medium size sharks and large edibles
Let the amount of max drag a reel puts out be the last thing you look onto before making a decision. Most company inflate the actual drag pressure a reel puts out also. The spheros is sealed well and will hold up better in a saltwater environment.
Yes! The spheros is more than capable of handling sharks. I recommend getting the 8 or 10k for sharks. Bigger reel = more line capacity and more line is always a good thing for fish that take long runs.
My shimano spheros is already on the flight. I hope it doesn't disappoint me... because I'm looking forward to fishing for snook, snappers, roosters with ek.

I find shimano to be a well balance reel in terms of smoothness, light weight, durable, have decent amount of drag and is seal better than Penn.
Good job! What if you compare the spheros and the stradik? Whic tu one is more appropriate for fishing from the beach?
For big fish off the beach I'd choose the spheros SW.

What’s that white plastic gear you pulled off before you pulled the rotor off
