"Pisces" by the band Jinjer. Man you have to check that one out it's a lot better than their older stuff dare I say. They did a live version in the studio give it a shot when you get the time!
Ironically, I'm back after seeing this review 6 months ago. Since this review I started to follow Infected Rain and I must say the band turned out to be amazing actually. I have all their albums now and a total fan. The vocalist Lena Scissorhands is fuckin prodigy in my opinion. Thank you big time for this one, Galacticriminal ...\m/
I first found her on Instagram based off of a liked picture.... next day I was in love with this band, and keep suggesting they come to Canada. :-p This song is one of my favourited
Recently got into this band, saw them around before and only heard "Me Before You". So glad I listened to other songs because they're exactly what I have been looking for when it comes to another awesome female fronted band that's got the perfect blend and variety of styles. I feel a lot of "Cradle of Filth" in the higher pitched sound, Lena sings like an angel and screeches like a banshee! Love them! I wish they'd tour nearby me!
I really recommend Ghost Brigade, they are a Band that have many well written melodys just as heavy parts( although they have more calm songs than heavier ones). Sadly they are making a break right now ( i still hope it's just a break), but nevertheless this is one of my listen to every day bands for almost two years now. If you check for a video there are just two, and i think clawmaster is more of a video/song for one of your reviews. Also there is a band called I Tell you what now, which just released a new album and a music video. If you want to check out deep dive, thats quite a catchy song ( at least in my opinion)
They're from Moldova and are a Nu-Metal band; hence the turn-table & hip hop influences (similar genre to something like Korn/Mudvayne/Mushroomhead). Their first album actually had a couple songs with some rap, but they're moving more into an Alternative style lately.
I was about to say exactly what per said. they're from Moldova, totally not the same thing lol and I'm glad you like these guys, they're phenomenal and I'm smitten with Lena. you should listen to more of their stuff. you should also check out Backwordz, specifically "be great". not my usual thing, but they're great and took me by surprise
Check these 2 ! - Carach Angren - when the crows tick on the windows .. they are from Netherland (Symphonic black metal, melodic black metal) - Mercenary - 11 dreams, Danish band .. (power metal, melodic death metal)
The way of Chi, this is Death Metal; there is NO SUCH THING as 'mainstream' Death Metal. Mainstream is what radio stations will play (or what the FCC will allow on the air, anyway). Pop, Jazz, R&B are mainstream. Anyone and everyone can listen to it, or at least hear it in the background and not be embarrassed, confused or infuriated by it. Dulled down crap. Death Metal is NOT mainstream.
Great song as well, I've got the EP and both albums, gotta support the hometown bands...but they are so damn good, I don't want to say underrated, they just aren't well known enough yet.
you should definitely check out straight line stitch. They're also a female fronted band, and the singer is pretty badass. Conversion is a great song by them.
Unleash the Archers is a melodic power metal band, that utilizes a female frontman. The singer does not have a growl, but a very clear voice. I think you would enjoy their 'Test Your Metal' song. Would like to see a reaction/review to it.
ANIMALS AS LEADERS - Cognitive Contortions (Music Video) thats a song of new album and first music video from it. came up couple days ago. Thats a fucking sick song with awesome drumming and sick thumping!!
I know your always busy with checking out the bands that most people requesting the same band or song from that band. But if you could react to these three bands I want you to react to. It would mean the world to me. React to Motionless in white - immaculate misconception, Sirenia - Seven widows weep, and Behemoth - ov fire and the void. I am a huge fan of yours Galacticriminal and I like your beard.
Interesting mix of sounds in there. Gotta give the vocalist credit; she does a lot of voice changes. On the recommendation side, have you heard Myka Relocate? I only have their latest album, but was shocked when their newest video only had 100 some thousand views. Very under exposed band and I don't get why. One of the best albums I've bought in the last year or so. EDIT: Dammit, nevermind. They're on VEVO-crapolio. Ok, how about some Butcher Babies? :D
check out skin age . they are melodic death metal with midle eastern theme . its sounds awesome if you liked shokran you will definitely will like this
If you're interested in some Lord of the Rings themed metal, check out Blind Guardian - Mirror Mirror (there's no official music video, sadly). Or, check out one of their 'A Voie in the Dark' music video, which isn't LOTR themed, although I'd definitely recommend Mirror Mirror
You could react to Sisters of Suffocation, they are a completely female death metal band. Vocals kinda remind me of Dethklok although the music is closer to traditional death than melodeath :)
hey galacticriminal, I would like to formally request that you good sir portray a reaction for the band Ready, Set, Fall and their song Labyrinth. There's no vevo shenanigans like my last request. You sir have a glorious Metal day \m/

TENGGER CALVARY- WAR HORSE or any song please sir I promise you've never heard anything like this before. they're a relatively small band that really deserve some credit.
React to Wage War - Stitch please ! It came out yesterday. What a fucking banger! Christian metalcore band ! Sick live as well ( seen them in Belgium )
Can you please react to Just Awake by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Zetsubou Billy by Maximum the Hormone? I feel like you missed out on the best song of each band
Don't see the deathcore in this. It's just metalcore. Loved the vocalist's harsh vocals but not so much her cleans. If you wanna check out REAL deathcore then check out Oceano, Thy Art Is Murder, Suicide Silence (old material), Whitechapel, and Carnifex.
Hey dude, check out Heaven Shall Burn. One of the best metalcore bands from germany. Checkout Endzeit, Hunters Will Be Hunted, Combat, Voice Of The Voiceless.... Cheers
Bro if you wanna feel some kind of music adventure you should listen to Haken - The Point of No Return. It's like discovering Atlantida or playing Bioshock for the very first time.
Once you open the door to Lena and Infected Rain.....enjoy floating in the ocean of her talent.
true
the look on your face when you first heard the vocals... fucking priceless... love this band.
Mark Davis not a fan at all and the chorus is an utter rip off of another song. I just can't think of it...
They are not from Russia but Moldova.
I was just going to say the same.. :D
Thank you! Haha
they ain't even Deathcore
They're a melodic death metal band
Horror
Definitely not melo death at all lmao
So glad you checked out Infected Rain, Lena's awesome
"Pisces" by the band Jinjer. Man you have to check that one out it's a lot better than their older stuff dare I say. They did a live version in the studio give it a shot when you get the time!
That song is heavy in visuals, lyrics, in vocals, in changes. That's a masterpiece.
Infected Rain are from Moldova, not russian

Had to cut out like 2mins of me laughing about that lol
They are so cool! Soooooo kind and nice people! And the most important - they treasure their fans!
You are so right, Alex! Cool, kind, nice and they do totally treasure their fans ...\m/
Recently got into this band, saw them around before and only heard "Me Before You". Sunburst- Out of this world
I really recommend Ghost Brigade, they are a Band that have many well written melodys just as heavy parts( although they have more calm songs than heavier ones). They're from Moldova and are a Nu-Metal band; hence the turn-table & hip hop influences (similar genre to something like Korn/Mudvayne/Mushroomhead). Their first album actually had a couple songs with some rap, but they're moving more into an Alternative style lately.
>Moldova, not Russia (ex-Romania, ex-Russia/USSR, populated mostly by romanians).
>Djent & metalcore, not deathcore.
😃
You like this, then you'd love Orphan Soul, just trust me on this, you will.
I dig Infected Rain. Even got their latest CD, direct from Moldavia. Love the music and the vocals.
Whoa! Had a "Kids In The Hall" flashback moment there in your intro. Great review as always, try a newer one from IR, Black Gold maybe or Passerby.
