I totally get you on the power of his singing and lyrics, and really I think reinforced by all the musicality and composition, to create and evoke images and scenes. And that's a great reference to: it's almost like you could just take Robert Plant's lyrics and AI could generate fantastic scenes to it, that's how complex but really accessible and emotional it can be at the same time.
Definitely not a gate. And really not all that much reverb. But perhaps just a subtle use of flange or chorus? Definitely not heavy-handed but enough to where you really noticed the texture but to be fair, once everything stops and that's all you're hearing it first and it's in your right ear only, and then it's still dominated even once other stuff comes in, I think that alone goes a long way towards making it sound really interesting as your musical brain interprets it.
I really hope you understand “how” we felt, the adrenaline rush we had…one the day these albums were released, going to the record store, seems to take forever to get home. Go to our room, put headset’s on and put the needle down. Then listen, while reading the album cover over and over again.
This song has been many wedding songs, including mine & my husband’s, we will be married 40 years in February. It’s such a beautiful song, & I’m glad you appreciated the beauty of it, not everyone does. Thank you as always.
The effect is called REVERB, plus, that one guitar part is Jimmy on his Fender 12 string and his Guild 12 string acoustic, layered. He then solos over the top with his telecaster through a Supro amplifier. it sounds acoustic, but just very clean electric.
What is and what should never be is the title of the song you heard previously, not what is and what should be. Jimmy Page sings part of Thank You with Robert Plant. Led Zeppelin can do all genres.
Seriously.... Every single, every album of Zeppelin is fantastic!
❤❤❤Robert❤❤❤ wrote this song for his wife❤
Yes he did, because she supported him, financially & & his pursuit of his career even before Led Zeppelin.
Zep..my all time fav band! Best music ever.
Great album. Used to listen to it all the time, especially this beautiful song.
my favorite...thank you
Great tune!

I feel the same way as you about this beautiful powerful song.🙂

I forgot how much I like this song! Thx
Everyone does ................until they hear it again ! :)
@@Newfie-zc7ugI’d agree if the song title was Stairway To Heaven. I’ve only listened to this one a dozen times in the last 20 years.
Bonzo is Amazing..........even on this slow classic ...........he is the bomb !
John Paul on keyboards and maybe back up vocals 😮
Mandolin is "wetter" sounding. 😊
This song was me and my wife’s wedding song, we’ve been married over 20 years.
Jimmy would do some back up vocals but usually, Robert would double track himself on most harmony sections.

More like Cathedral energy
Faze shifter.I had one
Dude, you keep mispronouncing the title of the second song on this album. It’s “What Is and What Should Never Be”.
hey M, you should let us know when them chills hit you on this jam...
hey Big M, I think the term you're looking for is, you can " visualize" exactly what he's saying ...
