I think it's good to have creators like Gabby who maybe aren't tuned in to every controversy but who have open and curious minds. She has a great platform and opportunity to speak about this from a place of learning rather than from a place of superiority about what someone "should" know.
It can be frustrating if you've known about something for-ev-er, and you come across people who don't know but they exist! And having some empathy for that, and seeing it as a chance for me to rise above my pettiness and genuinely talk to someone rather than shame them has been pretty great for me. Not always easy! But someone said something like "Welcome people to the movement, don't criticize them for being late when they knock on the door" and it really hit home.
