Shidous goals were animated very good. Dragon Drive was by an One Piece animator. The Big Bang Drive was done by a MAPPA and Bones animator. Then the final ep that Kagenashi style Rin vs Sae then Isagis goal was cinematic🤬
When I focused more on the story and less on the animation I didn't mind it as much. And honestly, if it wasn't foe the poor animation all season than that last few minutes wouldn't have felt as on-the-edge-of-your-seat as it did
I agree with you, I don’t really care about the poor animation I think everyone is jumping on the hate bandwagon. The story telling is what I’m here for and having read the manga it’s already pictures the “poor” animation is just them colored with slight movement and animation with some minor cgi I don’t really mind. ASLONG AS RHE BIG MEMENTS ARE GOOD. But obviously those last 2 episodes were a master class they absolutely cooked, I’d rather have them make a full season like the last episode and take an extra year than release it how they did but either way to me it’s not a huge deal as long as they come through on the big moments that matter.
9:40 I suppose animation quality wise sure, but personally Rin's horror dribbling is the most hype thing and interesting thing done by the show so far, even if animation wise it gets better later.
Thank you for being one of the few people who point out just how good the directing was in Blue Lock season 2. Even though the animation was rock bottom, the art style, music/OST, sound design, choreography, and overall directing did some serious work to still carry the anime. Just look at the Blue Lock s2 opening song. An amazing opening that actually uses a ton of CGI and moving PNGs but you can't tell because of how good the directing is. There's some real talent that went into this and it pains me to think how much better this season would've been if the animators had the time to match the directing.
Saturos battle theme... a theme that I was actually addicted to for decades. While talking about a recent addiction of me that is Blue Lock. I'm just going to have to subscribe!
Who do you think will be the better player based on full potential and who'll be the better striker(EOS) between Rin and Kaiser imagine them in their prime too and give me your reasons for both points🔥👍🏻 Prime Rin⚽😎(Genius Vision IQ Dribbling+Skills Passing Crossing Shooting Free kicks and Technique mastered plus his perfect kick accuracy scoring too much goals having assists being a playmaker and having a good defence) Vs Prime Kaiser🔥⚽(Talented Learner Vision IQ FIQ Predator Eye Dribbling+Skills Passing Shooting+Shooting speed free kicks and Technique mastered Speed Strength Scoring too much goals having more assists than Rin probably being a better playmaker than Rin and definitely having a way better defence) imagine a kaiser impact with both his legs swinging🔥😁
Imagine being the fastest player in the world the best young player in the world by far and also one of the top 10/15 best players in the world at the age of 16/17 loki's potential is insanely huge🔥✨ Who do you think will be the better player based on FULL POTENTIAL REACHED and who'll be the Best Striker In the World/History between my boy Isagi🧠⚽ vs Loki✨⚽ imagine them in their prime too and give me reasons for both points please I say that Isagi will be the way better player but that Loki will be the best Striker in the world(his too broken)
I’m really looking forward to season 3 now because if it’s as long as the first season (it probably won’t but I’m hoping) then that means I’ll see my favorite character in the whole show, DON LORENZO! 8:21 I’m laughing at that face
Between animating 2 cour 24 consecutive episodes back to back of reincarnated as a slime and animating a blue lock movie a season previous to the fall season and then immediately hopping onto season 2 of blue lock was 8bit's worst idea. They should've delayed it to winter 2025, especially knowing they weren't going to have time
The animation was so painful to watch but what made it still watchable is because everything else in the show is still really good. The voice acting, the art style, directing, sound design, story, characters, etc. Literally the opposite of "the animation carried the series" 😭😭
It's insane that the top selling manga don't get enough time to make the anime. Like with JJK and BL, the animators are amazing. They HAVE the vision to make animation great, they just don't have enough time. It's so unfair and ridiculous I want to cry.
I had faith. Dunno why but i did. Everyone called me a clown for having hope. And then i laughed at everyone after last two episodes. Its like when you are starving for weeks and god just hands you the best gourmet food. You bet your ass i was crying in the last two episodes. And when i saw my goat kaiser....tears just couldn't stop
I feel like this serves to highlight the opinions of some people, because I’ve seen a lot of people online call the animators behind it lazy or amateur, and that’s just horrible to see. You can call the final product pretty bad (framelock is a justified name since it’s basically true lol), I feel that’s fair for anything though blue lock s2 really wasn’t all that bad, but to call the animators behind it out like that? Plain disrespect for the title, especially when most people don’t even know what’s happening over there. I hope this gives people more perspective behind animators as a whole because blue lock s2 had amazing animators and horrible management that degraded their standing
I didn’t really think the animation was that bad. Like I only saw one thing that was really bad but it just made me laugh at how still that particular moment was. Overall I actually enjoyed how the artstyle seemed to be better this season and were so beautiful
Artstyle and animation are different things. Season 2 was *** and one good episode doesn’t make up for the rest of the season. Artstyle did look damn good tho
The thing is People are just overstimulated and are just sheep in general. One, more or less, popular person makes fun of the animimation and it’s just a domino effect and it’s set a modern standard of Animation >> story. Like if you can’t enjoy a story when it doesn’t have the best animation then you’re A. overstimulated probably drop your phone, take a step back go outside or just read something instead. Or B. You just didn’t like it to begin with. Like unless you are literally following anything but the story you don’t really notice it but that’s people nowadays I suppose they just focus on the wrong things.
Just compare it to ao ashi or kuroko. Blue Lock deserved a way higher budget, the manga often beat one piece number 1 spot in japan by sells. Last year it was the 5th most sold manga in japan and we are far from the world cup peak of 2022.
Just watch the manga at this point, the art in the manga gives a much better sense of movement and impact than the anime at times. Some of the scenes and directions look decent in the anime because they are ripped straight from the manga.
I'm not one to go purist and such, but the manga is much better. Anime is very faithful though, so faithful it's a motion comics with less detailed images instead of an animation
He said “after isagi trying his best to be useful”, and that gave me flashbacks of Sakura from Naruto… (I don’t like isagi at all, to me he’s so annoying and bland. Like WOW YOUR WEPON IS THAT YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE??) Like dang. But i love everything else. Just when he said that it got me cracking up
Blue Lock's last few episodes were absolute cinema. The animators themselves went into the flow state.
Shidous goals were animated very good. Dragon Drive was by an One Piece animator. The Big Bang Drive was done by a MAPPA and Bones animator. Then the final ep that Kagenashi style Rin vs Sae then Isagis goal was cinematic🤬
Fr
Personally, I think it still looks weird, but it’s better.
The last few episodes still had dogshit animation except for the few seconds of shidous goal and the last episode with rin vs sae and isagis goal
When I focused more on the story and less on the animation I didn't mind it as much. And honestly, if it wasn't foe the poor animation all season than that last few minutes wouldn't have felt as on-the-edge-of-your-seat as it did

no budget & time for this season is fucken tragic man. idk why they felt the need to try & drop it alongside a movie.

glad you gave it another chance.
Aside from animation, season 2 is actually above average in my opinion
Did anyone really expect Blue Lock to make this MASSIVE of a comeback?
I lowkey gave up hope until the last second LMAO
Real fans still watched everything without complaining
m..-m...massive!?!?

They will propably keep doing 10 unanimated episodes and 3 good ones at the end. Why would they spend more if it works and people watch anyways.

idgaf about the animation the anime was good
Them saving their budget for the end was the most unexpected thing tbh. BUT THEY STILL COOKED
