Gran Turismo 4 wasn't as rushed like GT3, but nonetheless they still had a very long list of stuff such as over 50 tracks in about 35 locations and over 700 cars (even though a lot of those are specific year models and different versions). And they formally started the development at early spring of 2003, until the end of 2004 (add many enhancements they also did to cars and tracks and a lot of other stuff, instead of just flipping those from GT3 and GT Concept into the next game). This track alone was probably started just few weeks before Prius demo came out and wasn't finished until April/May 2004 (Trailers back then and GT4P European Ending Movie still showed photos or clips of this track with different tree bitmaps and sprites, even in BMW 1 demo this track had minor differences). So I can guess. considering all of that, this is what they had planned and judging by the perfectionism, making a GP version and some other changes from scratch, cm by cm would take few more months they didn't have. The more hilarious thing is that GT PSP and GT5 demo still had many GT4 leftovers including this track for 5 years, despite constant development of various HD demos and editions of GT5 Prologue with few new tracks and new cars added... I guess it's just Game Development 101 thing... P.S. I like this edition, reminds me of this darker version seen in Enthusia... Just a good thing, there are at least few editions of specific tracks (like old demo editions from GT Concept). Thanks to that, even if reverse tracks aren't as different as in GT3/GT Concept, there is a chance to partially make it different, more immerse
what if you were able to change the screen brightness, contrast and saturation as the time passes during the race? this way you could make a sort of day and night cycle during the race
Gran bel video 💪👋

GT3 styled courses may be a thing, I just need will to try them mostly
This one took like 2 hours, isn't so much
Neat! Sounds like you have reduced transmission whine sounds?
I've just turned Race SE lower than usual haha

You can, I've read a post about a guy that made that for real haha
