In this video, I'll explain why almost every business should be on Pinterest. I'll show you later in the video why it's ALMOST every business and which businesses shouldn't even bother about Pinterest, so stick with me until the end of the video!
But first, I can tell you the number you might have heard a bunch of times.
Pinterest has over 480 million monthly users. So what, you ask me?
Facebook has 3 billion monthly users.
Instagram - 1.5 billion, TikTok - 1 billion. The numbers are right.
But numbers are tricky.
Quantity doesn't always convert into quality.
I will tell you WHY these 480 million might be worth your attention more than a billion users on other platforms.
Reason #1 - You can Add Direct Links to your Pins
You can attach a link to every pin that you create on the platform. A link that goes from the image straight to your website.
And your posts on Pinterest will NOT get lower impressions just because you added an outgoing link which is what they do it on Facebook forcing people to add links in the comments below their posts, kind of like I have to do on my FB page.
A quick side note, I was inspired to make this video by another creator, I'll link her video in the description below. I thought it would be nice to give her a credit as she shared how her life changed thanks to Pinterest. She worked with this platform on several collaborations, it helped her eventually leave her job and become a full-time content creator.
I liked her video because I also have a story of how Pinterest changed MY life. I recently celebrated 7 years of starting my blogging business. It later evolved from just blogging to a content creator business since I also added this RUclips channel to my income streams. But I can say for sure that it was Pinterest that changed my life because when I started my blog, I couldn't get any traffic to the site for several months focusing on Google SEO.
Then I discovered Pinterest and by the end of my 11th month blogging I managed to get over 100k/mo pageviews to my site, my blog was accepted to Mediavine premium ad management company and I've got my first paycheck of 1400/mo with display ads on my blog. And over 90% of the visitors were users I attracted from Pinterest for free!
Now let's look at the other reasons why I think most businesses should be on Pinterest.
Reason #2. Pinterest users are in a discovery mode
Unlike users on other social media, on Pinterest, they are not just mindlessly scrolling down, they usually want to find some inspiration for their projects, like home renovation, or even recipes to cook for tonight, gift ideas and so on.

Hi there! Pinterest works everywhere but it has more users in the United States, so if you create content in English, why not target US-based audience? You don't have to live in the US to create content in English and with US-based users in mind. I live in Portugal but my content on Pinterest and on RUclips is mostly reaching users in the United States.

Thank you for your video :) I have a question, about "TAGGED TOPICS" on Pintereste: When I use the Pinterest Pin Button extension (Google Chrome), to pin my one of my Esty listings, does it add my Etsy keywords to my Pinterest pin "tagged keywords"? or is it better to go directly to Pinterest and pin from there (filling out the keywords and link and title and description)? Or should I just not worry about those "tagged topics" on Pinterest? (also, why doesn't it let me edit my tagged topics even on my created pins?) I'm new to Pinterest. Thank you in advance!!
If you save pins (Etsy or not) from a website, you don't get the same features as when you create a pin from scratch on Pinterest. Tagged topics are just an additional way to categorise your pins. If you save pins without those tagged topics, the pin will still find its way in the algorithm

But I have two completely different shops on Etsy, so do I create two different Pinterest accounts for each shop, or do I create different boards, or how doest that work? In one of my shops, I sell printable junk journal pages and kits (something I create from scratch). In my other shop, I sell printable greeting cards and wall art, so do I need a separate Pinterest account or just separate boards under one pinterest account?

Sure why not, it can be tricky only if you frequently change the IP address and especially if two people login to the same Pinterest account from different locations or devices, that can trigger Pinterest's security system and they can suspend the account. But usually in these cases it's very easy to appeal and keep working on the same account.

Hi! Thank you for watching my channel! I added subtitles to the video in English, I think you just need to click on CC to turn on Subtitles, then on the Settings Icon on the right from CC, from there Click on Subtitles and Autotranslate, choose Portuguese and it should work. It is on the user side that this automatic translation is activated, not on the creator's end on RUclips. You can activate translation using the same steps on any videos on RUclips, not just on mine.
Pinterest is starting to frustrate me a bit. Views were consistently rising but now they are reversing 🤷♀️My pins are objectively good and lead to my blogs. Almost 3 months.

Pinterest account has been deactivated while doing Pinterest marketing with direct Amazon affiliate link. So how to do Amazon affiliate marketing on Pinterest? Can Pinterest Marketing Be Done Without A Landing Page? Please give solutionsolution...
Pinterest doesn't like when accounts are used only for pins with affiliate links. They allow direct affiliate links to be used in moderation. Having just one landing page is not solving the problem because then you will be saving multiple pins with the same destination URL of the landing page which makes your account repetitive and spammy.
You can join Amazon Influencer Program and create posts there and then link to those different posts instead of direct links to products.
I work hard for my pinterest account last month, but they banned me because I shared the same link in the last ten pins ! it wasn't even affiliate markting link! it was a mistake, don't make the same mistake :(
Yes, Pinterest doesn't like spikes of activity or repetitive pins, you can try to appeal, sometimes they can give accounts a second chance
How many pins you add per day?
i have a recipe website but i cannot get more than 200 views, i tested so many pins , so many different designs but no luck..
I post at least 5 pins per day, some days 10-15

Thanks for this useful content. Can you please advise from following two options which one is better for a beginner:-
Option 1:-
Making a new blog in "Home Decor" niche and creating quality content on daily basis and also creating pins on daily basis to drive traffic to that blog with a target of getting accepted by mediavine for a stable monthly ad revenue.
Option 2:-
Affiliate marketing in "Home Decor^ niche by direct linking through pins without a website.
Starting with affiliate programs of sofas and mattresses and gradually adding further sub-niches.
Hi there! Why don't you do both on the same account? In your blog posts you can add affiliate links too, not only wait for Mediavine ads. And you can create 80% of pins with links to your blog posts and about 20% of pins linked to affiliate programs. Option 2 has a problem - you would use your account only for affiliate links and Pinterest can consider that spammy. If you use affiliate links in moderation (like I suggested about 20% of your pins I think is conservative approach), you are trying both and at the same time keeping your account safer.

I find that ~98% of my pins generate very few impressions, and 1-2% end up ranking high for certain keywords and generate steady SEO-like traffic. (My account has ~100 followers.) Is this normal?
Yes, more or less like this, for established accounts it is just a lot more pins that rank and drive traffic but the percentage of pins that drive most of the traffic os small. Its hard to tell if its 1 or 10 percent but yes, it is a small part of all pins that you publish
You just have to keep going at it consistently and improve your craft/skills as you go and it’ll take off - in the beginning of Feb I have 9 monthly views and 82 followers - I still have the same amount of followers but my engagement/engaged audience/impressions skyrocketed once I started posting with a plan (aesthetics,timing,amount of posts) and stay consistent with your niche(s).
Now I’m at 11k monthly views in beginning of March & one of my pins just took off over night-it went from 60 impressions to 4.5k & counting with 70+ saves!!
It’s a long game,don’t rush or keep tabs on it ALL THE TIME just do your thing & then let Pinterest do it’s. Dont take the fun out of it by rushing the process.

Sure, and you can verify a shopify store with a couple of clicks on Pinterest using the shopify app. It's in the Pinterest account settings.

Pinterest will permanently suspend your account and never offer a reason. It is a waste of time.
Pinterest WILL and Pinterest CAN is a big difference. And even if this happens, you can actually get your account on Pinterest restored more often than not. And if you ever tried Google SEO, you know that your website can be penalized forever and Google doesn't even have any support email or anything.
But don't waste your time no worries, there is more space for others left on Pinterest.
