Aspiring profiler or blood spatter analyst here. I compete in a forensics competition in my state and its definitely my calling... interesting talk! Your description of the main subtypes of serial killers was very simple and easy to understand, leaves room to do more research and invoke curiosity. :)

I would add to the list of subtypes, Pragmatic. Yes, there is lust involved but essentially the perpetrator is simply looking for a steady-ready sexual partner. In order to maintain such a relationship the perp may have to use threats of violence, etc., but would rather that their victim be consenting...even desirous of the relationship. It involves none of the suggested fixations, IE - cannibalism or necrophilia. In fact, it would appear to be quite 'normal' aside from the forced nature of it.

With the gig economy the way it is were gonna have to redefine odd jobs also this doesn't take into account rent inflation. In the US its about 100 bucks a year. You also have to rule out gang turf disputes because those are typically geographically related.
A psychological profile is *not* evidence. Pay attention to geo-profiling. Using GIS data. Cambridge analytica does it and targets people based on this kind of psychometric data thing.

i switched off when the Prof said the Ripper was caught in Leeds. It's well known to be Sheffield. Sorry to nit pick, but no revelations here.

In another episode he said Tracie Andrews committed her murder in Kent, when it was actually in Worcestershire.

any kind of forceful act on another is an attack. "normal" behavior is entirely in the eye of the beholder. an attack is never justified save for self defense. those who attack, whether it's sexual gratification or whatever, they are predators who prey on the weaker; usually woman and children, education and learning how to protect yourself, other than sporting a gun 24/7, such as martial arts would reduce crime rates considerably.

Look up a"list of serial killers by country", you'll see that the list of Anglo Saxon males is huger compared to any other group.

not worthless - but I just didn't want to continue. I'm sure he knows - I know he knows more about serial killers than me.

he was referring to the Yorkshire Ripper - you're as bad as the expert for your serial killer knowledge!
The YR is Peter Sutcliffe - possibly the worst/most infamous in the UK history.
