How much kpop idols get payed is a mystery to me. For example The Rose didn't get payed since they debuted 3 years ago and are taking legal action against their own company. JYP is a pretty good company though so I'm assuming Jae isn't broke, just not too rich either.
Sadly Kpop idols don't get a lot of money. The majority of the money the company keeps and whatever is left is SPLIT between the members. There are some kpop groups like Momoland that haven't even gotten their first paycheck.. they had to rely on family. Some kpop idols who are from smaller companies work part time jobs. If they disband or quit, the company makes them pay for their "debt" from all the costumes, makeup, lessons etc. That's why some companies have what's known as a "slave contract". Not sure about Day6 though. Not ALL kpop groups/companies experience that but Western artists get a lot more money definitely.

But they couldn’t tour in 2020 so their income decreased a lot this year.
