    Think you're dad should go with power steering and more trail sled but awesome that you guys sill ride together 👍

    Ski alignment? The only time I've had sleds do what your dad is describing, the skis were out of alignment. It's one thing to dart, but bad alignment is like a dart from Hell.

      Thats a great call! I hadnt thought about the ski alignment ill have to take a look at it.

    Definitely think you should trade the riot in for the new Riot 9000 or skidoo/lynx 900 turbo r, Would love some 4 stroke content.

    Hey bro I’m mostly a Polaris guy don’t know alot about that Riot suspension are there heavier torsion springs you could try for him? Seems to squatting in the rear would help keep more weight up on the skis with bigger torsion springs? Also couldn’t tell in video did you decrease spring pressure on FTS ? That could be problem too I think you need to increase for more ski pressure.

    • @Revrider550
      @Revrider550  2 года назад +1

      Yeah he probably needs to upgraded to HD springs. I did decrease spring preload on the front track shock. I believe a softer front track shock adds ski pressure and the opposite reduces it. (Stiff FTS and softening rear shock and springs for max wheelies is how I thought it went haha)

      @@Revrider550 yes your right I had
      It backwards! Still think he would definetly benefit from some heavier torsion springs keep more weight up front on the skis

    I haven't tried a sled with power steering yet but it was a game changer on my can am outlander ATV. I don't think I can ever buy an ATV without power steering now.

    Great video buddy !! I’ll need to get with your Dad and let him ride the T-cat EPS. That’s the only way he’s going to buy one is if he rides one. 😉 The only thing is.. Will he get addicted to the 270hp. I don’t want him to turn into a hp junkie.. 🤣 Take Care..

    Do yourself a favor and move your clutch tools out of the holders on the clutch cover to somewhere else on the sled. A bunch of guys have had them fall out and get sucked up in the clutches... not pretty

    This is second season Lynx sell in north america? As swedish person I happy to see Finlanda lynx machines there now. Hey what if you dad try yours? What he think when he drive the lynx

    He was fine the last 2 seasons on the same sled.
    Power steering , shorter track would prob help
    My dads 62 and partially disabled and we rode dirtbikes, I have come to the conclusion part of the deal is just riding to his ability and we both have a better day

    • @Revrider550
      @Revrider550  2 года назад

      Yeah I think the body is just catching up with him as of this last season. I've been dialing back my speeds as the years go on to accommodate him but even on relatively well groomed days he is having trouble staying on his side of the trail which is my biggest concern. More than anything that is what I want to make sure no longer happens. Or we need to get communicators so I can warn him about on coming sleds.

    Are you running dually bars on the Cat? I run the Stud Boy Shaper Bars on my Assault, no darting for me and if it does not turn as good compared to a single bar then I just slow down a bit in the corners. On my wife's sled I use the Woody's Dually, which is less aggressive and steers easier.

      The Riot has a 6 inch round bar carbide on it. I personally don't think its the ideal set up for it but its what my dad is comfortable running on it. He's not very open to experimenting with set up. Relastically I think he needs HD torsion springs, to re-valve the shocks as right now they are under-valved for his weight, a shorter riser because he sits 100% of the time, and to experiment with some carbide options. I think the idea is that he will upgrade to more of a cruiser sled like a thundercat or something in the near future so we will see what happens. I run a 7.5 inch shaper on my Lynx and love it.

    Put SnowTracker Skeg system on your dads sled. He will thank you 👍👍

    'Put your Dad in a polaris 850 137'' or 129'' 1.250 paddle . Seating height will help his hips. firm seat only thing tho.

    • @joseywales898
      @joseywales898 2 года назад

      Also if you keep the Cat , try snow trackers medium depth. makes for easy steering, great in the turns with no darting.

    • @Revrider550

      Yeah I wish he liked the axys/matryx chassis more but he doesn't like how the chaincase/brake caliper push your feet/legs apart. He says it hurts his bad hip.... so unfortunately he can't ride skidoos or polaris's as a result and to be honest I dont think he will be able to ride the new catalyst either. Definitely time to just get his hip replaced I think.

    I had a 16 ZR 6000 handled like crap since the day I bought it . Nothing would make it steer until I put a pair of 5.7 pilot skis on it and then it wasn’t bad. Then I just got smart and traded it in for a Polaris switchback after riding my buddies rush. Seriously have him put the 5.7 on or just get a new sled they do not handle.
