I remember when cell phones only worked within your coverage area but when roaming agreements were implemented cell phones really became useful and desirable. We need the same thing for EV charging. You should only have to have one account and be able to plug and charge at any DC fast charger and pay one bill. In time maybe even have it billed monthly and maybe even have your home power company management that. Imagine being able to travel anywhere and have all that charging just show up on your electric bill as if you charged at home.

Sounds interesting but i think I need to go back to the earlier videos I missed about ECOG because this discussion was a bit hard to follow without that background.

I purchased my Mach, 4X, in the beginning of September. I’m not a big fan of the EV trend, but the rebates were too great not to consider.
Unfortunately, my pony left me stranded about 70 miles away from home. I ended up at a Ford dealer, and purchase a 2024 Ford Expedition. I have nothing to say bad about the Mach E, but then my line of work I can’t be tethered to a cord.

This technical information is educational, but EV drivers have no say in selection or implementation of DC fast charging equipment.
