Natalia is a sweetheart really respecting her husband and his family, especially in the countryside. The grandmother is so hard on her , even though she is Ukrainian and that isn’t her culture. Anyone would be blessed to have her as a daughter in law. Her Korean pronunciation is almost like a native. I think the husband has ulterior plans for her to open up her cafe. Great story. It’s important in Korea to represent interracial couples to progress with the world today.

south korea i think had 70% of gross product inputs from agriculture during the 50's to perhaps 80's however i heard it is now a small fraction of the past. many farmers are giving up their lands and also many young people are moving away which is causing some towns to be abandoned which breaks my heart to see. i can see this couple doing this smart technology farming but also perhaps organic farming to pave a way for young people to move back into the country side. it think the husband has the right idea. something about farming seems so noble and necessary. almost going back to the simple necessities of life. it's a beautiful story and thank you for sharing it with us.

She tells me that she’ll go to work so I can stay home. 🥺 my normal work schedule is 3-11:30 pm and I love to be able to drop her off to school and her poppa picks her up from school then hangs out with her grandparents for a few hours. I’m sure the family will find something to ease the separation between them. ❤❤❤❤❤

When planting rice by hand, you hold the rice stalk in the right hand. First, poke the dirt with your thumb, then put the rice stalk inside the hole that you just made with thumb. Then, use your finger to close the hole with half circle motion. Voila! the plant will grow as long as you have water. There're several types of rices. One type can grow as tall as the water rises and the other type is short and needs only shallow water like this video shown.

Koryo saram were taken away from their land (they were deported and treated horribly by Stalin). Of course, they should be welcomed! It’s the same blood that all Koreans share. There was never North and South, until before the war. Western people seem to forget that: entire families were divided and the whole Korean Peninsula, destroyed, by the two political super powers. What they, and before them, the Japanese, did to Korea is heinous and abominable.

26:00 : Should being a mother mean that you can no longer dress fashionably?
25:27 : Every woman, regardless of her role as a mother, should have the freedom to express herself through her clothing choices. It is so unfair to impose restrictions on women's fashion just because of them being a mum? Let me tell you this can negatively affect their self-esteem and overall well-being.

I can't speak the language so only thru actions. . I can't speak Korean but i memorize to say 'Sorry I can't speak Korean" in their langauge plus i have a small notebook with english korean translation written by my husband incase...

Salute. Haha. Initially i thought American from that thumbnail. Haha. As the city girl myself, if i was her, i too will not marry farm boy as seen in old Hollywood movies. Hahahaha. But i salute her 4 still able 2 find that freaking balance. No doubt farming is the best enterprise ever and i not surprise it can bypasses commercial city industries. Sadly as a Gen X women i cant get roasted in the sun. So i not fit 2 work there. Hohohoho.

Wrong behavior from husband. Natalie gives 100% for his family and for her husband and children but husband only gives 50%. He is a hard worker person but work isn’t everything in a relationship and also as a father he will need to spend time with his daughter. I know he is tired but Natalie work double. Husband has no effort at all to understand wife. Very selfish. What is “dress like a wife” statement?? A pair of shorts isn’t for a wife? Wow!. If he doesn’t change the marriage will be a really mess in the future. Natalie is a women with dreams and I know she is a lovely person but she may be tired of her husband behavior. Also the girl will be growing up with that resent for his father abandoned. (actually she is started to feel it). So sad that men don’t understand the importance of working together in every aspect in the marriage.

I really enjoyed it even though Natalie prefers the city life. but does farming and cooking well and knows what she wants in life. her husband works very hard and I'm sure must be exhausting. you need to have a break especially doing a plantation of gardening everyday it doesn't bring much quality time with wife and daughter to just have family time only it was so awesome to see them on a holiday. Women think 2x or more before marrying into Korean and Japanese families. Their ways are different are govern by patriarchal norms. They expect you to take care of their families and has a tendency to enslave their wives and treat them unfairly. They are very dictatorial, petty, insecure and feel they own their wives and everything must be approved by them. It’s a pity coz I have some friends who married Koreans and Japanese and they want their wives to bow down to their will and wants. It’s very disheartening as I see my female friends loose their identities and forfeit their wants. What you see in Korean Dramas doesnt exist.😅

You have money at the end of the month.
But what does someone gain from a marriage besides ingratitude, betrayal, headaches and abandonment? Don't tell me that you get a husband, children, financial support and love, because many women have not been happy, they are abandoned at home, with children starving while the husband goes to work but the money, the family he formed, never see. He will spend it on his lovers, on his favorite woman who is not his wife. Therefore, women should go and work somewhere or open their own business.

@@salguodrolyat2594 of course, my friend. But, you have some money.
You have experience in the area you worked in, perhaps you can get a letter of recommendation from your old company. You have earned money, depending on the country you are in, you can open a small business and from there you will support your family and some money for your needs and wants (clothes, shoes, food, travel, etc.)
When your husband leaves you, what do you get? Everyone will say that the woman is to blame, the crazy one, that she was the one who destroyed the marriage. when it's not always like that. She is labeled and will probably be condemned to raising her children alone if they are still minors.
