I have found the videos of this wonderfully odd bird very engaging, and frankly I am in love with her favorite staff member as well. He is incredibly patient & gentle with her. But I was curious to know how she exhibits her affection for him over the others. If someone could explain to me the behavior to look for it would be much appreciated. Thank you! ❤
What a life for that poor bird stuck in what I think is an awful enclosure.No enrichment ,and people staring at her all day every day.Life must be lonely .
I agree. I wish her enclosure was much more bigger and less artificial. The responsible for that is the owner of the park. That person must make a lot of money by exploiting animals. 😢

Another thing I noticed in the video where the keeper walks from the entrance, through the whole building to the back where the Shoebill is housed, was how incredibly noisy it is. Most animals live in relatively quiet environments and some have very sensitive hearing. All those hard surfaces and clattering must be awful for them. I can't watch that channel anymore.
