    Thanks for posting, was looking for the recipe since we has this in the Scouts at Camp Glen Gray in NJ, way back in the early 70s.

      When I was in BoyScouts (Eagled out) we used to make them all, the time. Now my youngest is in but not many have done the cobblers anymore. A lost Art if you ask me.

      I remember having this at owasippe in scouts and I've never had one like that since. Definitely have to try the recipe.

    Oh that's a southern recipe for sure.. I never thought of using a dutch oven though... :)... very good idea!

      This fed 7. For larger batch just use a bigger dutch oven.

    must not really mater how a person puts in the ingredence cause it looks to be no fail on cobler in a dutch oven

      It works..... I didnt think it would work either. It did. it all mixes up when it cooks.

      @@ACountryWayOfLife It's the dump cake method. You dump the ingredients in there, hence "dump cake."
