For me one of my favourite moments is in the last book of the Thrawn trilogy. When Pelaeon finds Thrawn close to death... Thrawns appreciation of the artful deception of Rhuk. His acceptance of his fate was amazing. "But it was so artfully done”
Thrawn's latest book set during the Clone Wars era, Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising is really good. The lore and the deep dive into the Chiss is so interesting to learn about.
He is my favorite officer, Darth Vader favorite Sith. I, in fact read the newer books, Star Wars Theory! How he became a Grand Admiral, how he met Governor Pryce, got the Chimaera, Tarkin promoted him to Commodore before he got that, and his participation at Batonn. Thrawn: Alliances has Vader, Rukh, and Padme in flashback chapters. My favorite, Treason, had the Emperor, Tarkin, and Krennic from Rogue. Treason is in set between a few episodes, and I was shouting so loud after learning what happened in the book when I decided to watch the finale where he's beaten. Really worth it to make this video. You didn't really miss anything. Maybe you should share if you read Thrawn, Thrawn: Alliances, and Thrawn: Treason. One day, I'll read the prequel novels, the Ascendancy trilogy, but I hope to see him on the screen again. Oh, and Sabine Wren is my favorite member.
Loved Thrawn in TIE Fighter and the Heir to the Empire Trilogy. Doesn't make since to have him and TIE Defenders in Rebels. The TIE Fighter storyline made more sense in describing why the Empire was so easily defeated at Endor and why the Empire broke into factions afterwards.
Mitth'raw'nuruodo is my favorite STAR WARS antagonist, followed closely by Darth Vader. If you could merge Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Gene Roddenberry's Mr. Spock, and Yoshiyuki Tomino's M'Queve, then Mitth'raw'nuruodo, later known as Grand Admiral Thrawn, is who you would get. And yet he is so much more. And I can't wait to see his return. Because he needs to come back.
0:10 I have this poster of Grand Admiral Thrawn at home above my bookcase full of EU novels. He is by far my favorite character in all of Star Wars. I love everything about him. I would encourage anybody who hasn't listened to the new Thrawn trilogy audiobooks to do so. Marc Thompson does an amazing job bringing Timothy Zahn's vision to life and it's so interesting to hear Thrawn's thoughts and inner monologue.
If we remain with the original canon. It was shown in later books Thrawn didn't care for the empire. The Chiss knew of the Yuuzan Vong, and it was tasked to Thrawn to strengthen and protect the galaxy. He recruited imperial and rebel alike to ensure this strength.
In Germany we have the luck to hear a nearly 12 hours radio play of the Thrawn Trilogy. The best part is not the excellent film like atmosphere and very smooth told story. It is that we can listen to the original voice actor cast of the old Star Wars movies. It's so good that I almost even prefer it to the movies. I guess that’s the advantage of not needing the high gage movie actors to do the voice setting.

Thrawn is a super fascinating and mysterious character. For one thing, I think he shows that you don't have to be a force user in the SW universe to be a serious threat. Hopefullly we'll get more canon with him involved, maybe in Mandalorian S3 I'm hoping.
Do you know the difference between an error and a mistake? Anyone can make an error, But that error doesn't become a mistake until you refuse to correct it. - Grand Admiral Thrawn. My Favorite quote from him.
Hey SWT! As you've mentioned in some of your recent videos, like many during the pandemic I have also been watching a lot more star wars. I finally got Disney+ and watched rebels, the mandolorian first season, and the final season of the clone wars (not to mention watching the movies in the machete order for the first time). I've really gotten into watching your videos, with all of your enjoyably creative alternate timelines and your filling in the canon and legends literature stories I haven't had the chance to read. It's all fantastic and I'm absolutely subscribed and look forward to everything you do. I wanted to bring up an advertiser I've seen a few times in your videos, in case you feel similarly. And I totally understand RUclips ads and want you to make as much money off of your work - I don't mind letting your ads to play to help with that. But there are ads from PragerU coming in frequently, and if you happen to be unfamiliar with them (these ads were my introduction to them as well), PragerU is American conservative propaganda. Like I mentioned, I don't mind letting your ads play through so you get more return on the videos, and holy moly are these ads a campaign of disinformation. And I figure since you're all about the star wars universe, and a lot of that can function as escapism for us mortals on earth, you may not be interested in this advertiser getting time on your videos. Maybe you don't mind, in which case I apologize for bringing it up. I just don't want to stop watching your videos and would very much prefer not to see reminders of some very gross political nonsense before I do. Love your content, and I appreciate you considering this!
Thrawn is a Bad-Ass as a military mind and officer. He didn't deal well with politics either within the Chiss Ascendency or the Empire. But his tactical way of thinking, Sherlock Holmes way of deductive reasoning, and how he treated everyone under his command made his a very dangerous adversary. The loyalty under him was unreal because it wasn't fear based. Too bad he saw his demise in Star Wars Rebels. But they left it open for him to come back, though.
Hey great video my names is Martin and comes from Denmark i really appreciate the mention of the Mikkelsen brotheres we are a small country so we do not often get mentiont Keep up the good work
I always liked the fact that Thrawn had NO pupils much like the Duros. It made him hard to read as an opponent. And then Disney gave him pupils.....ugh. ☹
Mitth'raw'nuruodo. Brother of Thrass. Superior of Pellaeon. Lord of the Noghris. Officer of the Chiss Ascendency. Grand Admiral of the Galactic Empire. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
Zahn's work with the character is just incredible. Both book trilogies (from Legends and the new "Disney-canon") are fantastic reads. Highly recommend. Zahn also just released earlier this year the first book in a brand new Thrawn trilogy that will be exploring Thrawn's time with the Chiss Ascendancy before coming to the Empire. That's off to a great start. The first book is, again, fantastic. Love the character so much, and I sincerely hope he gets the big-screen treatment eventually. He's just such a unique character.
-Do you know the difference between an error and a mistake, ensign? -No sir. -Everyone can make an error, ensign. But that error doesn’t become a mistake until you refuse to correct it
If you don't have the time to sit down and read I use Audible to listen to the books while driving and doing house work. Thrawn was one of my favorites so far.
Just finished watching Rebels and holy crap is it good! And Thrawn is quite an admirable character. A lot of people told me that rebels is more of a kids show, but honestly, it is as good and (i dare say) sometimes better than Clone Wars. My only gripe is that Rebels ends a bit abruptly and there were so many characters (Thrawn included) that could've used even more in-depth backstory. His defeat is so sudden. I doubt they will continue the series since it ended as the Empire fell, but I really want to know what happened to Ezra and where he and Thrawn ended up. I refuse to believe they just ended up dead in the vacuum of space.
He's a Great character that REALLY NEEDS to be in a film.
Played by the same actor who plays the role in Rebels.
With the RIGHT Director plus Timothy Zahn at an advisory role. I don’t trust Thrawn being used at people like Rian Johnson or JJ Abrams.
I could see a new series about him and Ezra coming to agreement about fighting the grysk. Plus the new Mando has ashoka and she and Sabine are looking for Ezra. Since chiss space is in the chaos and mostly separate from the rest of the galaxy they could have a lot of room for content

I really want to see live action Thrawn at some point
favorite thrawn moment: rukh! rukh! Zeb: um, sorry. rukh is busy at the moment, um, yah
You missed one, Number 1: Thrawn was nerfed in rebels, otherwise he would have destroyed them immediately.
Ezra thinks he has a 10/10 plan until Thrawn comes in
The Grand Admiral's theme is one of my favorite starwars songs.
Excellent Top 10! Thrawn is easily my second favorite character, after Anakin/Vader
I absolutely ADORE the Holmes-Watson dynamic between Thrawn and Eli Vanto. I'd really hoped to see more of the latter (does he appear again?)
Made a Chiss Empire Agent in SWTOR and was super fun to role-play
Everyone's favorite Chiss! Love it👊👍
0:10 I have this poster of Grand Admiral Thrawn at home above my bookcase full of EU novels.
Thrawn's IQ is incomparable.
Ooooh you should do a collab with Star Wars Reading Club on Thrawn, that is his favorite character.
Or Manda-LORE and Matt Wilkins.
"If not for meee..."

Who else is watching this after the GIANT name drop in mando episode 5
Me really cool ep
Awesome video dude, I've been a fan ever since you launched your first video in 2016. Keep going for it, and May the force be with you brother 👊.
If we remain with the original canon. It was shown in later books Thrawn didn't care for the empire. The Chiss knew of the Yuuzan Vong, and it was tasked to Thrawn to strengthen and protect the galaxy. He recruited imperial and rebel alike to ensure this strength.
Totally digging these top 10s. Keep them coming!
What if general grievous was taller than anikan expected
Simple...
*Credits Roll*
Then the prequels would have been actually good
@@shitstainman8231 they were good, but still lol
Thrawn is by far one of my favorite characters.
Thrawn is the most underrated character in Star Wars. He’s also my favorite non force user
Helps if you have a ysalmari on your back, watch them pesky noghri through
In Germany we have the luck to hear a nearly 12 hours radio play of the Thrawn Trilogy.
This has to be one of my most fav fan fics, if not my most, (my others are what if qui-gon trained anakin 1-2), Thanks for everything you've made, I am now theperson who knows the most about star wars in my WHOLE ENTIRE FAMILY! Once again, thank you, I hope you make more! I also watched youre 2 hour vader comic thingie, without stopping. And I LOVE THE VADER FAN-FILMS, my only problem is that the people look weird, but im not bothered by it! Again, For one last time, thank you for all of this! May the force be with you, always!
Thrawn is a super fascinating and mysterious character. For one thing, I think he shows that you don't have to be a force user in the SW universe to be a serious threat. Hopefullly we'll get more canon with him involved, maybe in Mandalorian S3 I'm hoping.
He will be in the Ahsoka show, maybe in bad batch, and probably in Mando season 3
Thrawn is the idea of a military genius without ambitions or arrogance. Something that is as rare as it is scary.
Rebels introduced and showed Thrawn BRILIANTLY
This is becoming the channel that I subed for. I love the fan fics and top tens.
I think I knew pretty much all of this, but I like to hear someone else say it. It makes me feel smart. Great video as always. Thanks.
Do you know the difference between an error and a mistake? Anyone can make an error, But that error doesn't become a mistake until you refuse to correct it. - Grand Admiral Thrawn. My Favorite quote from him.
There's a great fanfiction called the Last Known Trajectory about Ezra and Thrawn in the unknown regions,
Thrawn is one of my favorites! Need more about him!
Great video man. You know I would have love to see Thrawn have a conversation with Mace Windu. It would’ve been awesome!
Thanks, glad that Thrawn made it back into Canon and that Disney is faithful to his depiction in Legends.
Hey great video my names is Martin and comes from Denmark i really appreciate the mention of the Mikkelsen brotheres we are a small country so we do not often get mentiont
Keep up the good work
I always liked the fact that Thrawn had NO pupils much like the Duros.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
Warlord of the Empire

Anyone here after Mandalorian S2E5?
me
Moiiii
2 years later and now here he is in live action
everybody gangsta until Thrawn is the impostor
Zahn's work with the character is just incredible. Both book trilogies (from Legends and the new "Disney-canon") are fantastic reads. Highly recommend. Zahn also just released earlier this year the first book in a brand new Thrawn trilogy that will be exploring Thrawn's time with the Chiss Ascendancy before coming to the Empire. That's off to a great start. The first book is, again, fantastic. Love the character so much, and I sincerely hope he gets the big-screen treatment eventually. He's just such a unique character.
More please Theory. Definitely more. Thank you for all you have done over the years.
The Thrawn novel is defo my favourite star wars novel
Loves the Thrawn Trilogy novels. Will be reading Master and Apprentice soon
-Do you know the difference between an error and a mistake, ensign?
-No sir.
-Everyone can make an error, ensign. But that error doesn’t become a mistake until you refuse to correct it
Yes @StarWarsTheory Palpatine and Thrawn are my favourite villains!!!
This Guy is one of my favorite characters! The Best Villian together with the Emperor!
Thrawn should join the Blue Man Group especially since he also appreciates art
Thrawn is one of my favorite characters in rebels. I can't wait to see him in the Ahsoka show!!!!!
If you don't have the time to sit down and read I use Audible to listen to the books while driving and doing house work. Thrawn was one of my favorites so far.
I loved Thrawn in TIE Fighter, especially in the later campaigns of Defender of the Empire and Enemies of the Empire.
Love it theory keep up the great work may the force be with you always
Best Star Wars character
So, Thrawn is "what if Mirrored Universe Spock joined Star Wars?". That is badass!
