For two years I was looking for a GOOD cover of this song. This song is one of my favourite songs of Brian Wilson.....and today I've been thinking of this song, because I feel like the lyrics describe. Thanks a lot for your cover....you are great (I almost cried)...you got a new fan
(P.B.O), yes she does a wonderful lighter version of this beautiful song. But have you heard Tatsuro Yamashita's brilliant harmonic version. I feel guilty in wanting to say that his version is even superior to that of the original Beach Boys version.
This is such a beautiful rendition of one of my top 5 Beach Boys songs... you brought an originality to the song and recording 3 part harmonies on band camp like ya said just makes it that much better. I love all of your covers, especially "Oh Donna". I also wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed and related to your original song "I was first". That too is a beautiful composition.. If you have more originals (which being a musician myself, I imagine you do lol) you should post some more of them. Also I find it so cool that a beautiful and extremely talented young woman like yourself loves Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys. I'm about to be 33 and I was actually named after Brian Wilson... he was one of my late father's favorite artists. He and my mom were teenagers in the late 60s so I was brought up listening to the classics. My dad used to play "Pet Sounds" on his turntable for me when I was about 3 or 4. I am passing the torch onto my son... he's 4, gonna be 5 in Aug and his 2 favorite songs(and not just Beach Boy songs) but his 2 favorite songs above all are "Wouldn't It Be Nice" and "I Get Around"... he loves Brian's falsetto. I just wanted to express how much I enjoyed this rendition and all the videos you have uploaded. Keep up the great work doll and am lookin forward to see what ya post next. Love & Mercy, Brian
