I loved this scene. I think this was the moment Dede decided to concede the election. When she saw how Payton had this amazing talent that he didn’t even bother to pursue professionally, she must have realized how serious he was about politics.
that and the conversation directly afterwards she realizes she underestimated his plans, that he would be able to do more for the 27th district than she had thought of doing for the past however many years, she had thought it was impossible and he proved her wrong.
POLITICAN SEASON 2 IS AMAZING! This is from the finale episode and it is absolutely worth binge watching to get to that part! I've enjoyed every single episode this season!
This scene shook me to the bone, I was so happy they managed to form this healthy relationship with each other despite their political quarrels and its just amazing how dede in this part of the episode truly appreciated Payton much more than she had before and it touched my heart, when she was slowly seeing that Payton was different than what he's shown to her and hadasha, and saw that yeah maybe conceding to him doesn't sound all that bad. I am utterly speechless still, this is probably my favorite scene in the entire series this completely moved me, this scene, this part of the episode captured the evident character development, the revelation and the understanding and I'm living for it. the politician is and Always will be my most favorite Netflix series of all time. And I'm genuinely upset that it isn't getting more attention, but I also kind of get why that is, so not raging mad, a little disappointed More like it cuz it's just that great but yeah I really like this series a lot and Ben, Laura, and literally everyone else did a phenomenal job.
Imagine if they somehow made it a scene, Oh I don't know, get Hadassah drunk or something, so Ben Platt and Bette Midler got to sing together... Oooofff i would not be ready for that.
I definitely forgot this song was in here. I wasn't that familiar with the album when I watched The Politician so it went completely over my head, but this was in my recommendations and here we are😂
I must be one of the very few people that really did not enjoy his singing. I see a lot of positive comments about it but honestly I really disliked it, particularly this song. It stressed me out listening to it.
"With a voice like that you should be on Broadway"😂🥺 i cried
Definitely, maybe a broadway show like Dear Evan Hansen!
Maybe about a boy who bikes with his “best friend” in the appalachian trail?
he is and was before the series a broadway star lol just saying ;)
@@dgrauck lol that's why i "cried"
When do they say that?
I didn't expect to binge the entire season in one sitting but I did and .... no regrets :")
Me too... I felt bad but it was so worth it ;)
THE SAME! I need more!
IT WAS SO GOOOOD ❤️
Same
I did that yesterday. No regrets haha
It gets really emotional in this episode hearing Ben Platt sing.
This show needs more publicity! It's so good!
I’ve always loved Ryan Murphy shows Nip Tuck, Pose, HOLLYWOOD

He is the perfect actor to play this character. I enjoyed watching this series..
I'm still wondering why they didn't have more scenes of him singing in this show when he's so talented. Still SO GRATEFUL they did at least these ones
POLITICAN SEASON 2 IS AMAZING!

Ben platt is one of the most talented people in the world! I am so thankful he shares his gift with us!
Worth watching the whole damn season!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The way he nods his head towards the end makes me weaaaakkkkk
Season 2 really blew season 1 out of the water. It is SOOOOO good
WHEN I TELL Y'ALL I CRIED WHEN I HEARD THE MELODY

Ben Platt sounds like what heaven looks like.
Why is he SO perfect??????? 😍
His voice just perfect...
What a mesmerizing voice
I have Ben Platt’s music on loop and I’ve heard Run Away many times but for some reason when he started singing it on the show I cried
I literally love this show, I binged the whole thing and didn't move until i was done.
Omg this is the song he and river played together in season 1 i'm crying 😭😭
So does Ben Platt not exist in The Politician universe?
*Payton running for president and someone telling him that he looks a lot like Ben Platt and Payton being like - "I get that a lot..."*
I think it was meant to be thought of as an original in the show
I like to think that River and Payton composed this in this universe. Or Payton made lyrics for the piano scene they had.
Imagine if they somehow made it a scene, Oh I don't know, get Hadassah drunk or something, so Ben Platt and Bette Midler got to sing together... Oooofff i would not be ready for that.

Sob a bit in this scene. Great as always, Ben Platt!!
This man unbeliebel, his voice amazing. I'm so much love it.
I love this song and the show😊
Best moment in this series ❤❤❤❤
Binge watched both seasons in 2 sittings! So Good!!! This show is so underrated!

Ben Platt you continue to amaze 🤩🤩
Beautiful ❤️
i love it!!
so good
I CRIED
I like this guy
how this got 1 dislike? its perfect
Now it’s 2 😔
Three...
What kind of music genre is this I would to make a play list. Kind like glee/broadway any suggestions?
i would consider this pop cause the song is originally from Ben Platt's pop album "Sing to me instead"
Ben Platt style, I love his voice. Check out Dear Evan Hansen snogs, those are lovely, e.g. requiem
😍😍
i should have rationed each episode knowing that we'll have to wait for years for the third season to come out :')
I want to hear Ben Platt and Bette Middler sing “ The Rose” together.
YES!!!!
ben can sing
¿En que capituló la canta?
In what chapter he sings it?
En el 6 me parece
Si en el sexto al final
I'm now thinking bette midler has a trace on me I have never seen anything shes been in that I hate
"Kawai", lol.
