Maybe someone said this already, but it might be a good idea to sometimes unlock tiles diagonally in stead of in straight line, just like king moves in chess endgames. For example in stead of going straight up from the wildy canoe to lava dragons, you can go diagonally northwest then northeast, using the same number of tiles to reach the same point north, but doing this will save you quite some tiles reaching the obelisk. To be fair though, gym clothes with “Swampletics” written on them are the perfect balance of appropriate and totally puzzling to 99.9% of the other people in the gym. Excellent wordplay on an inside joke.
Why is this guy a fan of athletics in a swamp? Is this some kind of new Tough Mudder race I’ve never heard of? Or does this guy just have poor hygiene and suffers from swamp ass while exercising? Not sure whether to approach or keep my distance…
10:56 Weird fact but the cutscene where you're in the canoe actually uses a tile
Yes he mentioned that in a prior video
@@stanman228 nah I was the originator of the fact mate wrote the book on it
Settled, I watched bits and pieces of your Swampletics series. You were always a bit of a "background" RS youtuber for me; I primarily watch Torvesta. I haven't played in years but in enjoy watching content. This tile series has me hooked! I love your content for the simplicity of it. I have often thought about going back to RS but the overwhelming amount of new content has turned me away. I feel like my knowledge is so outdated that I am already behind the curve on training, farming spots etc. Please keep up the good work, don't be discouraged and know you've got a real gem here.
congrats on 500k subs!
I’m sorry but I laughed hysterically when you were looking at “the devastation of losing tiles”
Love the wildy content makes me relive the early days of playing osrs, thats what the wildy is all about the risk vs the reward!
Settled: I wonder what it’s like to be the viewer, you just sit and watch the drops, I was that was me!
Everyone else: I wonder what it’s like to have a get paid to play your favourite game for hours, I wish that was me!
I've always been such a fan of the Swampletics series, so when I saw there was merch for it... I just had to get a hoodie. Congrats on 500k!
Runescape is, one of my most played games and, by far, my most played MMO
I stop playing about 2 years ago because I don't have much time, but your videos definitely made me want to go play again
Thank you so much for the Nostalgia Injection and congrats for the 500K subs
Don't do it! haha
@@imnickim too late...
Already restarted my money farm to buy Bonds
Love the series man, as I loved swampletics!
Just being curious, but wasnt there a higher exp requirement to unlock tiles after 1,000,000 total exp?
i think he mentioned that his plugin takes that into account automatically
@@tonttuvain1839 if you look at 29:00 on, you see the plugin doesn't keep track of that. It's using the standard 1000 xp/tile.
he changed the rules to 2.5m and every 2.5m after maxing at 10m
He changed the rules a bit
Okay, thanks guys, must have missed that part
I still can’t believe you chose the name McTile and thought that it would be a good idea 😂 CONGRATS ON 500k!
One day, when I have grandchildren and they ask me to tell them a story, I will tell them about the adventures of Settled, SwampMan, and McTile.
I only recently started playing OSRS and watching OSRS YT videos. Im so glad this video was suggested. I love this tile journey.
Massive congratulations on achieving 500k subs, huge accomplishment!!
Honestly, love the series so far, only draw back is the wait, though, it's worth it. Keep up the good work McTile ❤️
"I unlock the wilderness"
Well that escalated quickly
this is grate content hands down
HUGE grats on 500k! I’m a fairly new sub, but this tile man series has really got me binge watching your videos. Great job on your content :)
Not refunding tiles is what sets you apart from Pip and makes this series compelling to watch
I'm literally so mad I missed out on that swampletics hoody. 'Only here for 3 weeks!' *sees the video on the 4th week*
about the panic at alkharid mine, you can emote right at the very south part where the mining icon is on the minimap and not have to go deep saving maybe 25 tiles
Cheers for making a series I look forward to!
I'm impressed with how well you're doing channel-wise. Keep it up! :D
Just some random trivia. The last guy that killed McTile called Vyskupas means Bishop in Lithuanian :) Not sure what ping we get in Australia but I'm pretty sure it wasn't silky smooth for him as well :D
Cheers! Looking forward to the rest of this exciting project!
I never comment on videos, but this series is fantastic. Short and sweet wins the race so I will refrain from dragging on the compliment and end it with a sincere, absolutely phenomenal job.
I quit Runescape 10 years ago, never watched a series and yet I can't wait for the next episode.
The way you commentate is also highly entertaining.
McTile returns, with an armful of tiles and a fresh batch of dopamine. Poggers.
You are without a doubt my favorite and most entertaining OSRStuber
Keep up the great content man!
I’m sure you’ve considered it already but would it not be an option to death pile in lumbridge and head up to lava dragons for 30-45mins at a time? You could secure your rune kite and rune long sword that way and still try get the rune axe
MonkaS 30:48 minimape
And congrats on the first 500k runescape channel! U worked hard for this so enjoy woo
