hii, in igcse physics, the calculations and formulae are a shortcut for scoring marks, but there are certain questions where they ask you to 'explain' especially in general physics, i understand the concept yet there's always key words they're looking for. do u have any tips for this?
I used to solve a lot of past papers, then write those keywords down on seperate papers and use them as my own notes to study and memorise from, so i recommend solving a lot of theory and focusing on the keywords in the marking scheme, and learn those sentences
Salam Habiba! I was wondering if i should still start doing Past Papers eventhough I haven't learnt all of the syllabus? Should I just leave the ones that I haven't learn or should I focus on topical questions only for now?
Should we follow the syllabus point to point or go outside of it as well for example in the syllabus of physics it is said about studying the measuring tape and timers etc but in the book Vernier caliper and all that is included . should i study those things too??
I would definitely recommend asking your teacher if these topics in the textbook that u cant find in the syllabus should be studied or not, they'll guide u to the right path if you're in doubt!! Make sure its in the syllabus before studying so u dont waste time and effort
hi I am taking my igcse this may/June and I'm taking 7 subjects I studied all of them but still, i find myself soo weak when it comes to past papers is it possible to get ace my subjects now can you please give me tips on how to improve I'm taking physics, chemistry, biology, math english, ict , arabic
I took the same exact combination of subjects for may june 2022! I was able to ace all of them in one go It's currently late February, and trust me, you have a lot of time rn to solve as much as u can and for improvement to take place! Solve a lot of past papers, studying the subject isn't enough to make u ace it, you have to solve a loooooot of papers and to mark them strictly, and then learn the points from the marking scheme and the correct way they want u to answer (Basically learning from your mistakes) At first (like me and all the other igcse candidate) you'll find your marks pretty low, but trust me if u consistantly solve papers and learn from ur mistakes, you'll see an increase! Consistancy is the key!!! Best of luck to you, I pray you get amazing papers and great marks!! Spend ur time very wisely :)

don't feel pressurized. That messes things up significantly. It completely ruined my ICT paper 3 examination once, due to just one question. Do not let a question make you fear. And most importantly, do not keep extremely high expectations, or else it will make you nervous to a great extent. Just do the exam, and do not think about future, like what will happen if you pass/fail, etc. Just my 2 cents.
Hey i am taking this mayjune and iIve realized that learning from the notes takes hours and now i am depending on solving past paper question from youtube and memorizing them . Do you think that will affect me later otr its better considering that not much time is left?
I recommend that you at the very least skim over online notes and watch videos on the topic just to make sure you haven't missed out any syllabus points (because sometimes solving past papers will miss small syllabus points if you haven't solved enough papers) I do think what you're doing is the most efficient way to use up the two months left, keep this up! Just print the syllabus and make sure you're familiar with all syllabus points as you go thru past papers! Don't waste time doing notes now, solve as much as you can, learn from your mistakes, and solve questions you got wrong again and again!
